Taehyung's POV:

Calm, peaceful, beautiful.

She was looking so peaceful, serene, and warm while sleeping. The sunlight casting on her face made her look brighter than before. I leaned closer to her face, scrutinizing the details. Her eyes opened in a snap and met mine. Her soft breath caresses my face. Her eyes were brown so deep like the color of mud. But there was something else in her eyes that intrigued me the most which I just noticed. 'Light'. Her face was bemused before she realized and startled, frantically sliding back. Her chest heaved up and down erratically. I gulped. I step back.

"What's your name?" I demanded her earning a glare from her side. What the heck? Is she glaring at me? She stood up from the bed staring at me firmly, her shoulders stern. I moved towards her. She stalled back a bit. I don't know from where she conjured up this courage as she took a step forward. Her feet suddenly twisted and she lost her balance. Everything happened very suddenly. She was about to fall a minute and now she's encircled in my embrace. Her hands clung to my shoulders and my hand on her waist. Somewhere cuckoo birds were singing. A gush of wind passed through us and her long hair swayed with it. Her eyes were stupefied. She reluctantly stood up and I leaned back.

"I'm not gonna tell my name to you." She said firmly. I smirked at her.

"Why? Are you scared or something? Do you perhaps think that You'll be able to escape from here and if by any chance you do I'll chase after you ?" I felt her muscles getting tensed and she gritted her teeth.

"Mia! My name is mia and I'm not afraid of you. Remember the name" She blurted it out. She's so easy to read sometimes but other times she's...stoic. Mia means-

"Mine" I unconsciously said out loud as she looked at me stupefied. I blinked my eyes rapidly. That wasn't supposed to come out like this. What is wrong with me? Feeling the urge to get close to her I took a flight out of there leaving her perplexed. My heart started beating rapidly. I flew to the pond and sat down there to calm my galloping heart. I touched my shoulders where the ghost of her touch still exist. Touch! It's been so long that I forgot how it feels to feel someone's touch. To feel the warmth against my skin. My lips slowly moved upwards. The flashbacks of her face near to mine, then her hands clinging to my shoulders flashed across my face and I felt my blood running across my body. These emotions were long stale until these days I'm feeling them fresh, a new. What this winter is bringing up with it? I shook my head. No, I'm just fascinated by her nothing else. Yes, nothing else.

"What's your name?" She asked me as I came again here to check up on her.

"You don't need to know about it."I gave her a subtle answer. But it only enraged her. So what! She's my captive I'm not hers. And since when I turned this fragile? Why do I need to be this generous with her? Just end her life just like others. But why every time this thought feels wrong?

" You know mine it's not fair I should at least know too. Or perhaps...Do you have no name? What should I call you then? 'Monster'" She's playing a game she can't handle. A game of bravery. I've been called a monster, demon, devil, satan, and many other names but never had it ever hurt me before. But today I felt another emotion that I felt before when my mother cried, Years ago. I felt like this isn't how it was supposed to be I was feeling the opposite of what I felt before.

"Kim Taehyung! My name's Kim Taehyung." She bobbed her head. I noticed a slight difference in her. She's not as scared as she was before from me. Is she getting used to my existence? Is she acclimatizing to this new situation? Is she accepting me?

"I want to pee and have a shower. You might've forgotten but I'm a human and if you're gonna keep me here so you need to provide me for natural disasters" Her choice of words made me chuckle. She looked at me stupefied. I cleared my throat.

"I'll take you near the pound but remember you can't run away from me." She reluctantly nodded her head.

I brought her near the pond with a gown I found at the cabin she's captive in. She looked here and there.

"I have very sensitive senses. So don't think of running." I passed her my horrid look. Her muscles stiffened but she masked it quite well. I gave her space. Even though I threatened her but still I put my trust in her. It's incomprehensible how I always feel like pushing myself out, pushing the lines out. Why do I want to trust her? I want to l-...No! Even slipping out these words felt heavy.
