Plot Twist

"Alright, that's good for now, we'll practice more in the morning and then leave at noon." Erin says, dismissing me back to Gerudo Town.

"Okay, thanks Erin."

"No problem, get some rest." He answered, then he turned to Zelda, "Hey, you head back with Link, I wanna train for a bit longer."

"Are you sure?" Zelda asked him.

"Yeah, he's got you. And anyway, it's getting late, I mean the Chief already headed home and her guards so you should get some rest." He answered, nodding at me.

"Okay, I'll see you later Erin." Zelda said, standing and walking over to me.

"See you Zelda." He said, then he turned his attention back to his practice.

We walked for a bit and Zelda started a conversation, "So... you're a traveler?"

"Yeah, I'm a traveler, but I trained with the Gerudo Guard for a bit and now I guess I'll be joining the Hyrulean Army." I answered.

"Hm, that's interesting."

"But... I have a question, is that okay?" I asked.

"Sure."

"Why did you chose me? I mean, I'm not special yet here you are, the Princess of Hyrule, the one with the sacred power." I asked her, this question had been on my mind for a while. It was kind of weird that out of nowhere, Zelda of all people shows up.

"Well, it was actually Erin that told me about you and said that you were a prospect. Then after talking to Riju, she told me about you and invited me to Gerudo Town. Sadly though, Erin will have to camp outside of the town." She answered, we were still a decent way from the Town but I figured I would change back into my Gerudo clothes that way I could get into the inn.

I saw a pillar a bit away so I decided to change behind it. I asked Zelda to look away and then I changed quickly behind the pillar. When I came back around though, Zelda wasn't there anymore.

I looked around, and called her name, to which I heard a response, "Hello Link." The response was from a voice atop said pillar. How did he get up there without me hearing him or Zelda?

"Who are you? And what're you doing with Zelda?" I asked him, he had Zelda at his feet, obviously unconscious.

"Well here's the thing Link, I'm Master Kohga, and your little friend Erin is part of my Yiga Clan. We've been planning for years to get Zelda alone, and now we'll take you both out." Kohga announces.

"So you're the type to announce their plan?" I asked.

"Well yeah... it's a thing... that I do... Anyway, that's besides the point, I'm here to defeat you."

"Let's say you do defeat me, what's your plan after that? And what do you gain from defeating me?" I asked, it was weird that this... cult leader is trying to get me, I mean I get Zelda but me?

"Zelda can seal away our leader Ganon, and you, can defeat him with your little meddling sword to seal the darkness. If you two are out of the way, we'll be able to take over this cursed land." Kohga said.

"What do you mean sword to seal the darkness?" I asked him, I was just about shocked to learn this but things were just becoming clear.

"You're the one. Did you not know?"

"The one? What... what does that mean?" I asked him.

"God, all this dialogue is getting on my last nerve, let's get to the good stuff." He said, then he picked up Zelda and tossed her off the pillar. I ran and caught her, he landed next to me and started murmuring something. Suddenly these big spiked balls appeared and they started spinning around his head. He shouted and they flew right at me, I dropped to the floor along with Zelda. I left her on the ground, and drew my sword and shield.

"You won't get away with this!" I shouted, then I charged. I went to swing but suddenly, a glowing blue wall appeared and my sword clashed against it. I was flung back but I stuck my landing. He clapped his hands together and three more men in those cursed red suits appeared.

"I won't waste my time with you, I should get going anyway. Who knows how long Zelda will be unconscious?" He says, then he disappears and appears behind me. I turn around and he grabs Zelda, "Bye, Hero." Then he vanished into thin air with Zelda.

"Come on, Link. Master will be pleased when I defeat you." The Yiga Soldier on the right says.

"No, he'll be pleased when I defeat you." The one in the middle says.

"No no no, he'll be pleased when I defeat you." The one on the right says.

They all look at each other and then they all stomp their foot at the same time, "No, ME!" They all shout in unison.

"Or, I could defeat all of you, and get Zelda back." I said, getting back into stance.

"A cocky knight, hm?" The one in the middle says, "Not for long."

All three of them leap into the air and disappear, I looked around with my guard up, and suddenly they all appear in the air to my left. They fire off a series of 2 arrows each, all 6 snapping on my shield. I lunge forward and swing my sword, hitting one of their arms and another's gut. They jump back and disappear, then they reappear and shoot more arrows. I lunge forward again and I hit the same two. They fall back and vanish, one left.

"This is a pretty anti-climatic fight, isn't it?" I asked the remaining soldier.

"Y- you're done!" He shouts, drawing a sickle. He lunges at me and swings, nicking my arm. I counter, swinging back, but he dodges it. He disappears again, and reappears directly above  me, he swings downward but I roll out of the way. I land on my stomach and swing at his ankle, cutting into his leg.

"AHHHHHHHHH!!" He screams, swinging down his sickle into my back.

I grunt in pain but prevent myself from screaming. I grab the sickle and yank out of my back and out of his hand, I swing it and dig it into his other ankle.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!" He screams, again. He falls onto his knees and I stand, leaving the sickle and sheathing my sword and shield. He's stuck on his knees and I kick him in the chest, causing him to tumble back. The sickle comes out and he moves into position to vanish.

"NO!" I shout, unsheathing my sword and jumping forward. He disappears, my sword stabbing straight into the sand, "Damn it!" I shout, re-sheathing my sword. I kicked the sand where he disappeared, and then I got dizzy. I collapsed on the sand as the sky darkened.
