Brad Pitt as David Evans (Olivia's dad)
"Listen I appreciate you taking me in, but this isn't necessary. I can easily go stay in a hotel." I said making up my bed, denying the three maids Dominic had arranged to fix my temporary room. Yes I'm wealthy but that didn't mean I couldn't hold my own. I did happen to know how to make up a bed.
"That's absurd, Olivia. It is extremely unsafe, plus we don't know who broke in to your apartment. This could be an inside job, which is why I have the police and my best men working on the robbery. Now until everything is replaced and we know who broke in, you'll be staying with me; no arguments. When you're ready, come downstairs and we'll have dinner." He finished and turned around leaving me in my oversized room.
It was beautiful I must admit. A large queen sized bed was centered beautifully around a flat screen tv and a chandelier hung marvelously above me. It was honestly too much, too big for just one person. But Dominic took it as an insult when I requested something a tad smaller.
"Is everything to your liking dear?" An elderly but adoring lady startled me out of my thoughts, making me jump in surprise. She had to be at least seventy, if not older. I was surprised she was still working.
"Everything is perfect thank you..." I waited for her to say her name, eager to meet her officially.
"Evelyn, and you must be Olivia Evans. You know this is quite the shock." She spoke dusting a nearby table.
"What is?"
"In my eight years for working for Mr. Wilson, he has never once let a girl stay in his home. Are you his significant other darling?" She asked right off the bat and my eyes grew in shock, but I quickly recovered.
"Oh, no no he's just a friend Evelyn. I don't think Dominic is real keen on the whole dating thing." I said above a whisper, for some reason sounding a tad disappointed.
"That's what you think." is what I think I heard before Evelyn closed the door, leaving me alone in my room. I'm probably just hearing things.

"Why is she here? I don't mind sweetheart, but this is just so unlike you." I stopped my feet to hear Evelyn talking to who I assumed was Dominic. She just called him sweetheart and he didn't throttle her?
"So what if I want her here? It's better than having her in that apartment where something could happen to her." He spoke curtly, urging to end the subject but Evelyn wasn't having it.
"No no no, you like the girl don't you? You care about her, and I like her too if I do say so myself. She's not as stuck up as the other girls you bring home, she's grounded." They continued talking, much to Dominic's dissatisfaction. Once having enough, he slammed his hand against the wall which didn't seem to frighten or phase Evelyn in the slightest.
"Why is this such a problem? Back in my day if you were smitten with each other, you'd go steady. I don't understand." She said impatiently and Dominic just groaned.
"Evie you wouldn't understand! She's an Evan and-"
"And what? Just because your father has a stupid feud with hers you'll let a perfectly good girl slide?" Evelyn sounded frustrated, and this was when I decided I'd heard enough. I walked in, the tension in the room could be cut with a knife.
"Olivia, did you get settled in well?" Dominic gave a fake smile, and I nodded silently, taking a seat in the large dining room. An array of food lay beautifully on the large table, with two sets of plates and utensils ready for Dominic and I. The room was probably as big as my entire apartment, hugely unnecessary for one person.
