She's coming home. Here, in my house and I am so excited.
I fix my hair for the last time standing in front of the mirror, take Elise's cat from the bean bag chair and walk downstairs.
I lift the cat up in my hands, looking at her "She's coming home" I smile, "she's coming home" I enter the living room and gently put the cat on the couch.
The door bell rang. I rush to the door and open the door without wasting any time, "Hiii" her smiling face comes at sight when I open the door.
"Hi" I smile back and look at her hands full of things in paper bags, "I brought everything!" she says lifting up the two bags then enters the house, giving me a peck on my cheek.
I smile and follow her closing the door behind me. I enter the living room and find her crouched down in front of the couch, stroking the cat, smiling.
"I got her a name" she turns towards me with a smile and gets up, holding the cat then sits down on the couch.
I slowly walk towards her and sit down next to her, "Valerie" she looks at me with a smile, lifting up the cat then kisses her.
"That's a nice name" I say as she puts Valerie down on her lap, "I know right" she looks at me smiling so brightly, I just keep smiling at her, "I was searching for names on the internet the whole night" she takes a bag from the floor, "I brought every toy from my house saying I am gonna throw them away" she chuckles taking out the toys from the bag.
"And I bought this!" She takes out a collar, a red bow collar with a small bell in it.
"And..." She takes another bag from the floor then takes out a small bed, "For Valerie!" she smiles and keeps the small bed down on the floor then slowly lifts Valerie up and puts her down on the bed, "She's so cute" she looks at me giggling.
I don't know for how long I have been smiling.
"I love you" I say and she looks at me again, she doesn't say anything, just smiles then shifts a little towards me.
I do the same, I hold her hand looking at her smiling face, she leans towards me and whispers those words, "I love you too" my smile gets wider and she giggles, I pull her closer by holding her thigh and her smile slowly fades away, her eyes slowly look away from me and I lean closer and closer towards her.
A loud gasp interrupts me.
Elise moves away from me, I turn to look at the side and I find Mason standing in front of the sliding door with his hand over his mouth.
Of course such ugly gasp can be only of one person, "My fault" he puts his hands up then quickly turns around walking towards the sliding door.
He stops near the door and turns towards us again, "I am sorry" he says, bending his head down a bit then turns around.
He turns back towards us and I roll my eyes, resting my back on the couch, frustrated. "Sorry I didn't introduce myself" he walks towards us with a smile, "I am mason his best friend" he says standing in front of Elise with a hand on his chest.
"I am Elise" she nods with a tiny smile, "nice to meet you"
"Nice to meet you too" he says, bending his head down again.
He turns his head towards me with a smile and I am looking dead at him, "I am the one he got the cat from" he says to Elise keeping a hand on my shoulder, "I got it from your neighbor" I say dryly, still looking at him, wanting to punch him in the face.
"I just wanna say he's a really nice guy, he's the bestest friend someone can ever have though he acts like an asshole sometimes I love him" he keeps talking and I get angrier.
"Wait" he looks at both of us, "are you guys like dating now?"
"Yeah" I say while Elise nods her head.
"Woahhhh" Mason grins at me while I am still looking dead at him.
"I am happy for you man" he hits my arm, "I am happy for you both and I-" I get up and push him towards the sliding door, not letting him continue.
"Congrats!" he says as I fully push him out the door. I lock the door and close the curtains.
I sigh and turn around towards Elise, "Sorry about that".
"It's okay" she smiles.
I walk towards her and sit down next to her, "Does he always comes to your house without saying anything?" She asks looking at me with those doe eyes and I just wanna pull her close to me again, "Yeah" I move towards her, closer, "he's an asshole" I tuck her hair behind, I move closer and closer and closer.
"You both seem very close" she giggles and bends over towards Valerie, holding her.
"We should go buy some more food for her" she says stroking Valerie in her lap and I take a breath out resting my head on the couch, looking up the ceiling.
Thank you very much for ruining my first kiss asshole.

"Tomorrow's Halloween!" Mom says drinking her cranberry juice in her orange hoodie with a big pumpkin drawn in it.
"Yeah just in a few minutes" I say looking at the clock about to check on Valerie.
I walk towards her small bed kept near a couch, she's sleeping, the red collar around her neck, I crouch down and gently stroke her with my finger.
"That's a cute cat" Mom says behind me, "Yeah" I smile thinking about Elise.
"When did buy so much stuff?" Mom asks and I turn my head behind to look at her.
"Uh..." I smile, "I got it for free"
"Oh" she turns around and sits on the couch with her cranberry juice in her hand.
"Got her any name?" She asks as I turn my head back at Valerie.
"Valerie" I say, smiling.
"Wow that's a pretty name" Mom says.
"I love you sweetheart"
"I love you back"
