I always wondered if you can stop everything, anything.

Like pushing the pain, problems away...

The pain.

I don't know why I always press my skin whenever there's a bruise. Maybe just to see if I can push the pain away...

The grayish color surrounding near my ankle. I stop pressing it and caress it gently, just staring at it while I'm sat in this bench near the garden of our school.

"How did that happen?" I quickly cover the bruise with my jeans and snap my head to the side, when I hear this voice.

His voice, "Andrew"

"That..." He says pointing down towards my leg

I let out a forced chuckle, "I just got hit by a desk while walking out the class" I lie

"Are you sure?" He asks, still looking concerned

"Yeah" I smile, "I'm just too clumsy"

"Should I bring ice?" He asks, walking closer towards me

"No I already did" I say shaking my head, "thank you"

He suddenly puts his hand over his mouth. He sneezed and I take that as a opportunity to change the topic, "I told you, you will get cold" I laugh and it was genuine.

He smiles looking directly into my eyes, giving me butterflies in my stomach. He walks towards me, still with that smile, his eyes on mine and sits next to me, his eyes still not leaving me.

"I liked them" he says, making me get out of my thoughts.

"Huh?"

"Your macarons" he smiles, "I liked them"

"Oh" I smile back, "thanks"

"Does it hurt?" he asks, looking down towards my leg.

"No" I give a tiny smile, "I'm fine"

He nods lightly and turns his head straight towards the school building. I do the same and we just stay in silence like that, sitting next to eachother, so close but our eyes somewhere else.
At one point I feel his eyes on me again but I don't check and just keep looking down my shoes.

I suddenly feel the urge to say something. I bite my bottom lip and turn towards him and he does the same, looking back at me with those dreamy eyes.

"Do you wanna skip school?" We both say together, our eyes paste on eachother

Then we both break into laughter.

I needed this. I needed to laugh, I need to distract myself, keep my mind away from the thoughts. I need to. And somehow Andrew's presence is helping me forget those thoughts.

"Sure. of course, as you say princess" I instantly stop laughing, warmness reaching my cheeks. Princess?

He lets out a small laugh as I don't say anything and smiles, looking at me with those dreamy eyes.
Making me not being able to look into his eyes anymore.
After staring at my shoes I slowly turn my head towards him again and he's still looking at me, smiling.

I smile back at his smiling face and get up from the bench, "I will go take my bag" I smile again and slowly start walking towards the school building.

"Wait" Andrew's voice stops me, I turn around back towards him and his lips slowly turn into a smile "I will come with you"
