Twenty-One

"You've started to... like me?" Zhang Hao isn't able to hide his surprised expression as he pulls away from the hug. Hanbin just looks at him, not knowing what to say. Did he really just admit that? What if this ruins the friendship he and Zhang Hao were starting to have? Judging by his reaction, he really can't tell what he's thinking. "What do you mean?" Zhang Hao asks him, feeling his face heat up. He can't possibly mean he likes him back, right? He's not able to take his eyes off of him, impatiently waiting for what he's going to say.

Hanbin doesn't know what to say. Did he have to be more specific? He thought Zhang Hao would understand what he meant. "Oh, I meant I've really started to like you as a friend." Hanbin panics. "I'll go check up on Yujin." He rushes upstairs, leaving Zhang Hao confused.

"Right... As a friend." Zhang Hao mumbles. He goes upstairs to take a shower, and after a while, he ends up going to check up on Yujin. It's already late and he should go to bed soon. When he opens the door, he ends up seeing Yujin's already asleep as Hanbin was reading him a storybook. Zhang Hao quietly walks in, trying to not wake him up.

Hanbin feels his heart beating faster than ever. He kind of feels embarrassed to face Zhang Hao right now. Yeah, he later made it seem like he meant it in a friends way, but still... what if Zhang Hao catches on and realizes he really does like him more than a friend? Hanbin doesn't know why he's acting like this all of a sudden. At first, it was so easy for him to act like his husband. Even earlier today, he kissed his cheek, hugged him, and called him 'love'. Why is it that all of a sudden, he feels strange?

"I'll get going." Hanbin whispers to Zhang Hao since Yujin's sleeping. "Goodnight." He kisses Yujin's forehead before walking out of the room. Once Hanbin's out of the room, he lets out a sigh of relief before rushing towards his room.

"Goodnight...?" Zhang Hao looks towards the door and can't help but feel confused. What was that? One minute Hanbin was reading a story to Yujin and the next he's already out of the room? Zhang Hao kisses Yujin's forehead before walking out of the room, slowly closing the door behind him.

The next day, Zhang Hao wakes up a little later than usual since it's the weekend and he doesn't have college today. He gets dressed for the day, just in case he, Hanbin, and Yujin end up going out somewhere.

Once he's ready, he goes downstairs and walks into the kitchen, seeing Hanbin and Yujin are eating breakfast. Hanbin usually always goes to Zhang Hao's room, letting him know breakfast is ready, but he didn't do that today, which makes Zhang Hao think something's going on.

"Good morning." Zhang Hao says as Hanbin and Yujin were busy talking about plushies.

"Good morning, papa Hao!" Yujin gives him a hug and sits back down on his seat. Hanbin just gives Zhang Hao a small smile and he continues eating. "Binnie, Yujinnie, and I are finished with our breakfast. Can we go play please?" Yujin asks them.

"Yujinnie too? I thought you had given him to your papa Hanbin."

"I did, but papa Hanbin still lets me play with it. He's so kind, right papa?" He asks Zhang Hao.

Zhang Hao just nods. "You can go play, but you just ate, so no running."

"Okay!" Yujin nods and takes his plushies before rushing out of the kitchen.

Why did Yujin have to leave them alone right now? It's going to be hard for Hanbin to even look at Zhang Hao. He still feels really embarrassed. "I made you breakfast, but I didn't want to wake you up, so..." Hanbin is able to say.

"Oh, thank you." Zhang Hao smiles before reaching for a plate. "By the way, do you have any plans today? It's the weekend."

"Yeah, I actually have to work on a presentation for college. I'm meeting up with some classmates."
