They were both exhausted and slept hard waking after eight the following morning. Serkan rolled out of bed first to Eda's muttered, 'slippers', and went to make the coffee. After coffee and toast they headed to the police station to meet with the officers that had done the initial investigation.

Officer Yildrim took them to the side, "We handed this over to a couple of detectives last night, you'll meet with them this morning. Detective Feyat and Zilhar will talk to you in a few minutes, have a seat over here please."

Eda and Serkan looked at each other, this was a simple burglary, they guessed that it made sense that patrol officers didn't handle burglary cases. They were waiting about ten minutes when two older men came out, "Are you the Bolat's? Come on back, we can go in a conference room and have a chat."

The followed the men into the conference room, "I'm Detective Feyat and this is Detective Zilhar patrol turned your case over to us. They don't normally handle burglary cases. We were lucky and picked up some good prints and some images off of your security cameras. Do either of you recognize either of these people?"

Eda looked at the pictures and then handed them to Serkan, it was pretty hard to recognize someone wearing a ski mask. Serkan looked at it, "No their faces are covered but if I had to guess I'd say that this is a male and a female or maybe a teen. So there were two people? You got prints?"

"We ruled both of yours out from the driver's license agency records. The smaller set of prints isn't in any of our databases and the other belongs to a career criminal by the name of Mehmet Bahrat, we're trying to locate him now. The interesting thing with Mehmet is that he has ties to organized crime, would this be anything that either of you is familiar with?"

They shook their heads, "I'm a photographer and Eda's a model and artist we're fairly normal people."

Detective Zilhar snapped his fingers, "That's why you two seemed familiar. A week or two ago aren't you the guy who got hit in the head and landed in the sea? My wife always watches the gossip shows during dinner, that's where I saw you. You two are married? So you aren't dating that actor? I would swear you were supposed to be with another model."

Eda rolled her eyes, "I've never even met him and Serkan barely knows Selin. He worked with her on two photoshoots almost a year apart. Yes Serkan and I are married and no I'm not seeing anyone else and as you can see he isn't dead."

Detective Zilhar chuckled, "You're a pistol lady. I'll have to let the wife know. I've told her before that she shouldn't listen to that stuff."

"Can we get back to the actual business?" asked Detective Feyat.

"Sorry. Like we said Mehmet has ties to organized crime, if you two aren't involved in any way why was your house targeted. He only does business for them."

"We have no idea. Like I said, I'm a photographer and Eda is a model, that's it."

"Have either of you had any legal trouble recently? Anything at all?"

Eda gripped Serkan's hand tighter, "Not legal trouble, but I was attacked by a potential client after a photoshoot in Budapest a few weeks ago. I filed a police report there. His name is Malik Aganou, he was a representative with a perfume company. My manager was told that the company was looking for a new brand ambassador and that Aganou was there to interview me but it never happened like that. He expected something other than a brand ambassador. You can talk to my manager her name is Gulsun Cicek, I'll give you her number. She's been the one that has been in contact with the Budapest police." Eda wrote down Gul's number for them and slid the piece of paper across the table.

"Anything else that you can think of?"

"Detectives, Eda and I just got back into town last night, we were gone on our honeymoon for the past five days, before that we were home two days and before that I was in Azerbaijan and Eda was in Barcelona. Both of us travel frequently with our work. When we're home we don't go a lot of places, we go to Eda's sister's house or my mother's house. We don't do fine dining we do local places if we go out but usually we cook in. We're really pretty boring people."
