“Who's Lori?”

You held the arm she had injected the needle into gingerly and she turned to walk away..

“Wait!” you snapped yourself out of the trance you had been in while thinking about who Lori was. You weren't sure why you told her to stop, you started speaking before you could think.

“Are you in any pain?” she asked, facing you.. you hesitated before speaking again.. “Can...can I?” your throat hurt but you forced yourself to speak “Can I look around?” your throat was dry and it stung, but you were speaking.

She smiled, this time it didn't seem as fake.. “Of Course you can!” she smiled reaching for your, she handed you a crutch.. it was widdled from wood and smelled strongly of pine.

She handed it to you, waiting for you to prop yourself up correctly so you could walk. You held it underneath your arm, putting your weight on one side of your body wasn't easy.. you looked up to see her waiting.. you quickly started limp-walking as she stood there holding the door open for you.

You forced yourself to focus on walking as she walked down the hallways, “There are different medical rooms available, yours is commonly used for people who were injured during a battle..” she smiled. You stopped walking to look inside the different rooms she was pointing out, suddenly it hit you.

You stopped walking and she noticed it, she turned around confused.. “What's wrong?” she continued to smile.. you looked at her sword again.

“Battle..?” you said confused, she realized you had questions.. “Oh, I'm not exactly the right person to explain it to you am I..” she smiled grabbing your hand gingerly. “I'll take you to Master Ubuyashiki..he'll do a better job explaining it.” she held your hand as you both walked past the rooms on either side of the hallway.

She then led you outside, opening the door for you as you walked a step or two behind her.. it was warm outside.. you looked around, the house was in a forest with a dirt path leading up to it from around a hill in the front.

She smiled walking you down the path slowly to avoid you tripping, after a couple minutes of walking you both stood at a gate, on either side was a stone wall.. she pushed the door inward, letting you look at everything Infront of you.

The ground was smoothed with gravel, it led up like a path to a home it had a long brown porch area where it sat perched slightly above the ground. You looked down at Shinobu before looking up again, “Woah..” you didn't stop       yourself from speaking, the house was beautiful..and expensive looking.

Shinobu took your hand again, letting the doors close behind the two of you as you both walked forward.. you looked at the trees and flower bushes as you passed, roses, daises, and lily's grew in bunches.. you looked back at the house only to realize something you hadn't noticed before..

Standing there were nine people bowing to someone who sat on the long porch area attached to the house..

Shinobu led you toward the row of people and bowed her head,

“My deepest apologies Master Ubuyashiki, I was on my way here and my patient requested to get some fresh air..” she said making eye contact with you briefly before looking back at the man before her..

He smiled, his head lowered.. his face had some sort of spreading disease that went down past the top half of his face.. his eyes were white and unseeing..

Master Ubuyashiki..
