You stood still, everything around you was unnaturally silent. You looked at your feet as you walked toward the window, each step wore you down..leaving you exhausted and unnaturally dizzy.

Your vision blurred, fuzzy spots obscuring things in the room. The window was the only thing supplying a breeze.. keeping you stable. You propped your body against the window frame, placing your head down against the wood..

You tried to recollect your thoughts, you couldn't remember anything other than your first name and that you didn't belong here.. those made you feel like you were on the edge of insanity, dangling freely over a cliff..

You could hear people talking outside your door, you couldn't force yourself to be interested in what they were saying..it sounded like you were under water with the way their voices sounded so muffled and far away. Your ears rung, the faintest noise you could make out was the ringing and although it gave you a headache it made you feel real.. like you weren't some hologram.

The voices were louder now, louder and clearer. It was the girl who had given you that pill, and another voice that you felt you heard before but couldn't remember where. The door creaked open silently, as if they were expecting you to be in bed or asleep. It was that strange haired girl from the forest and that doctor lady.. your throat hurt, you started regretting throwing that pill away.

“Oh good, you're awake!” Shinobu said smiling sweetly, Mitsuri squealed excitedly to herself blushing madly.. “How mysterious! So cool!” her voice reminded you of every sweet thing you had every tasted, tenfold..she seemed nice.

Suddenly your brain flashed memories of her holding a sword, side by side next to a man who held one to. You backed away from them eyeing their waists.. both of them carried swords attached to a belt seen into a uniform they wore.

They noticed you shying away, confused.. “Are they okay Shinobu-chan?” Mitsuri squealed worriedly. Shinobu stopped smiling, you reminded her of Kanao..unable to do anything by herself the way you couldn't for your own. “I'm sure they'll be fine!” she smiled “They're probably in shock..” she tilted her head, examining you..

She was interested in you.. in your story and who you were.

The two girls left you alone, closing the door behind them.. they were careful not to scare you more so they stayed silent until they reached the end of the hallway.

“I sure hope they get better soon enough to talk,” Mitsuri said looking back toward the closed door. Shinobu placed her arm on Mitsuri's shoulder, patting it slightly..

“I'm sure they'll heal,” she said reassuringly, watching as Mitsuri walked down the hall to deliver the news to every available person listening.

Shinobu walked down the hall in the opposite direction, stopping Infront of the closed door for a brief second before continuing to walk.

“I'll make sure of it.”
