“Thank you..” she muttered, looking up at you from behind her menu.

Mitsuri smiled looking over the menu, she couldn't focus on anything though because she was to busy admiring you..

The way your face scrunched in concentration as you read..

The way you treated people as equals,

People like her.

When it was your turn to order you looked up to the waitress, she smiled at you shyly before looking down at the note pad “I'll have a bowl of.. Croquette Tonkatsu.” you smiled

And how you were kind..

The waitress left with the order, you waved to her before looking back at Mitsuri.. she laughed for a second before smiling at you like usual.

“You're so kind!” she exclaimed, her face was slightly red..

“Thank you..” you smiled softly before looking away flustered.

Thirty minutes later the food came, Mitsuri had ordered a lot..

You looked at the food, then to Mitsuri.. she looked at it hungrily until she realized you where staring,

“I don't think I'll be able to finish all this..” she lied, eyeing the plates and bowls of food.

“Go ahead and eat, you must be hungry if you kill demons as a job..” you said, she smiled at you gratefully as she began to eat.. you looked back at the town for a couple of minutes before turning around again to eat, as you finished off your bowl you saw that Mitsuri was halfway done.

You looked away not wanting to be rude for staring.

Once Mitsuri finished her food she paid the bill and thanked the staff for their service.. the two of you left as the sun was setting.

Halfway up the hill in the direction of the the Demon Slayer head quarters you started coughing uncomfortably..Mitsuri glanced at you in worry.

You fell to the ground on your knees as your throat burned.. Mitsuri rushed to you, picking you up as she ran toward the Butterfly Mansion.. the whole time your vision was blurring and your breathing was shallow..

“Shinobu!” you heard Mitsuri yell, you leaned forward as Mitsuri opened the gate..

Mitsuri set you down into the gravelled pathway as she yelled for Shinobu or a kakushi..  Shinobu was running toward the two of you.

She stopped infront of you, her smile still there..

Mitsuri had been crying..

“Kanroji-san, what happened..?” was the last thing you heard,

Before everything faded to black..
