author's note:

now that we're delving into crooked kingdom and out of fjerda, i need to warn you: the story may get slightly darker than before. so i'll repeat, if you couldn't read the duology, with all its triggering subjects or mentions of them, please don't proceed. i'm not saying it'll be gory and violent all of a sudden, but it will get slightly darker. i think. the point is, if i'm in the mood to make the story gorier and darker then this is your warning.

but otherwise, enjoy! i'm so excited about this part of the book because we'll see progress with ace and kaz, and ace's backstory, and yay! i hope i can make justice to the story i have in my head and that you like it <3
