Hello, OldFashionedDonut here! Just a small announcement. Starting from this chapter and onwards, the length of each chapter will essentially be doubled. Tripled, in some cases. I apologize if you dislike longer chapters, but that's just how it'll be from now on.

Chapter 31: Small Moments
*****

The next few days after that, you worked with Ryouta as best behaved as you could. Although you hadn't exactly opened up, you did start listening to what he had to say. You patrolled, trained, and actually paid attention during his lectures about what it means to be a hero. He even invited you to come visit every so often. He worked close with Kasumi and understood her quirk well. He offered to train with you to help improve yours.

You spent nearly every night looking through Kasumi's old room. Unfortunately, you didn't find anything of interest. You weren't even sure what you were looking for in the first place, but it still would've been nice to find something of hers that held more meaning than a few pictures. It was like she didn't keep anything else of importance in there.

There was also a big incident in Hosu City, but you were nowhere near it. Reporters speculated that the multiple monster-like people captured were connected to the USJ incident. You had passed out for the later half of that, though, so you couldn't confirm it for yourself. Endeavor had also taken out the hero-killer Stain, which was somewhat interesting but nothing you cared for too much.

School had started up again. The week was finally over. You were sitting on Tsu's desk, chatting with the other girls when Bakugo walked in, his hair magically combed. You immediately covered your mouth with your hands and laughed. That was the look Best Jeanist was aiming for.

Kirishima and Sero completely lost it when they saw him. "Shut up!" Bakugo was getting annoyed by all the mockery. "You." the angry boy pointed at you. He marched up to you with his signature mad face. "You and that Jeanist did this. Was this your plan all along?" he accused you, but you couldn't say anything with tears threatening to leave your eyes. His hair then suddenly returned to normal with a small, 'poof'.

At this point, you had already fallen off Tsu's desk and into the arms of Toru, who struggled to hold you. You both fell, crying and laughing.

"What's wrong, Pretty Boy?" Sero asked. Bakugo stomped over to him and Kirishima.

"WHAT DID YOU CALL ME?"

"Oh, Mina, did you do anything fun?" Tsu asked from behind Mina's desk. You and Toru were finally able to calm down and stand up.

Your pink friend sighed. "Not really, it was pretty boring." She shrugged.

Kyoka fidgeted with her hanging earlobes and said, "I helped people evacuate from a crisis situation, but I didn't face any villains. That was about it."

You turned to Tsu. "What about you, Tsu? How was your internship?" you asked. Tsu looked up in thought.

"Not much, all I basically did was clean or train. Oh, there was that one day we caught a bunch of drug smugglers."

How can she say that so nonchalantly?

Toru turned to you and tugged on your arm. "What about you, (F/n)? You said you were going with the Flame Charge hero in your text, how did that go?"

"I only trained, nothing else. No villains and boring patrols. There was that one day we ended up going to Best Jeanist's agency for a bit to hang out with Bakugo." you sighed and shrugged.

Kyoka smirked and poked you in the ribs. "Is that why you seem back on good terms with Bakugo? Well, besides the usual yelling and death threats." her words made you cough.
