Father's Day Issues

Monday before Father's Day

Khun is freaking out and Top is ready to give him a shot to put him to sleep. He doesn't understand why Khun is so worried about Father's Day. I mean he is acting like a child that never gave his Pa a gift before. Oh wait, Top thinks, knowing Korn, he probably wouldn't accept anything, so yeah Khun is nervous. Though it is not like this is first Father's Day with Max, but maybe since Kim and Chay have returned home, this one is more special. Top has given up trying to figure out how his boyfriend thinks. It gave him a headache when he tried, so he usually goes along with him, unless it is so outrageous, that he puts a stop to it. Like last week when he built a fire to bless all the fathers in the world. Top used the hose and put it out before it actually got started. Khun was not happy and made him sleep by himself for like 2 hours because Khun realized he couldn't sleep without Top beside him. Top thought it was funny but didn't say that to Khun.

Top is getting ready for work when Khun starts talking to him.

Khun: Should I get Evan a gift as well as Max?

Top: Why would you get Evan a gift?

Khun: Well, Nampheung is sort of all our mother too and she is married to Evan.

Top: Then get Evan a gift too.

Khun: Do you think that would upset Max?

Top exasperated looks at Khun before saying: Call him and ask him, I need to get ready for work.

Khun: Did we not do it enough last night? Is that why you are short with me this morning?

Top walks up to Khun and gives him a kiss. Then says "honey, I am going to be late for work, that is why I am short. I apologize, but seriously, you need to talk to Max because I can't answer for him." Khun grabs him in for another, but deeper kiss. After they break apart, he tells Top, "you know I have trouble expressing my thoughts, but I will call Max." Top just sighs, put on his shoes, gives Khun another quick kiss and leaves for work. Khun pulls out his phone and dials up Max.

Praung: Hello honey.

Khun: Mom, where is dad?

Praung: Right here beside me. We were getting ready for bed.

Khun: Mom I did not need to know that.

Praung just laughs and hands the phone to Max and tells him that Khun wants to speak with him. Max isn't sure what is up since Khun and him don't exactly have a tight relationship. So, he just says Hello.

Khun: Dad, sorry for the late call. I tend to forget the time difference.

Max: That is alright. What's up?

Khun: So, Evan married Nampheung and since we all call her mom, that makes Evan our dad too.

Max: Yes...

Khun: So, if I get Evan and Father's Day gift, is that going to upset you. (Khun said this without taking a breath so Max had to decipher it.)

Max: Khun dear. I treat you like my son, and I am honored that you think of me as your dad. If you want to share that with Evan too. That is great. So, no I won't be upset if you get Evan something. In fact, you don't have to get me anything either.

Khun: Thanks. You know Top got irritated with me before he went to work earlier because I was discussing this with him. He is the one that told me to call you.

Max: Khun dear, do not let things like this bother you to the point that you fight with your boyfriend.

Khun: Thanks again dad. Hey, what would you like?
