Star & Moon Night

Luckily for the boys and luckier for Chay, they did not have to attend the family dinner Saturday night because it was the night for all the Faculty Stars and Moons to try and win the title of Campus Star and Moon. Chay was nervous but at least he was sleeping better. He would still wake up with a fright, but he would not yell out anymore. He still struggled with his talent, but this year the Stars and Moons were asked to do a talent together. Dim said that since they were from the Faculty of Music, they would need to sing a duet. Neither Chay nor Minnow have any idea what duet they want to sing.

Minnow likes Chay and hopes that they win, this way they can keep doing things together and, she also hopes this will let Chay fall for her. She thinks Chay is mysterious, and she also knows that Chay is not dating Macau and that Macau is like a cousin to Chay. When Minnow told her father about Chay and his connections, he told her she must get him to go out with her or at least she needs to be compromised by him so he could force a relationship. Minnow doing everything her father tells her, readily agreed, which is why she told Chay he could pick the song they would sing for the talent.

No one knew exactly what they would be singing with the exception of Dim, Mil, & Wat as they helped them learn the song. Chay picked a song in the Chinese language. Dim was confused when Chay suggested the song, but when Minnow said lets do it, Wat, Dim, & Mil did their best to help them learn it in the two weeks they had. Now that it was the night to highlight the Stars and Moons, they just hoped it was enough. Wat tried to get Wik to help out, but he quit answering messages after that fateful day at the Club. Mil and Dim figured he was under a lot of stress.

In the Theerapanaykul VIP seating area most of the family was seated waiting to see the performances. Kinn, Porsche, Vegas, Pete, Khun, Top, Macau, and Nao. Yeah, Macau was able to drag Nao to the performance. Macau acted like this was their first date. Little did he know that Nao thinks Macau is dating Chay. Kinn was on the phone with Kim trying to talk him into attending, but Kim kept refusing. Kinn finally gave up and told him he would send him Chay's performances. Vegas leaned over to Pete and whispered in Pete's ear; oh, Kimmy boy is struggling. Pete shook his head and shushed Vegas.

It was intermission at the event and only talents were up next. Kinn thought every student selected did an excellent job. Porsche was proud of Chay. He answered all his questions with solid answers and did not even seem to be nervous or afraid. Kinn and Vegas were talking about how hard it will be on the judges this year to choose just one Star and one Moon. Top who was a Campus Moon himself agreed with Kinn and Vegas. He tells Porsche, Pete, Khun, Macau, and Nao that being a Faculty Star or Moon is a lot of work, but when chosen as the Campus Star or Moon the pressure mounts as they now represent the entire university and not just their faculty. Secretly, he hopes that Chay does not win as he knows this might push Chay over the edge even more.

Kinn gets up and tells everyone he will be back. He is planning to go to see Chay and telling him just go out there and do his best when he runs into Kit, Kim's head guard. Kit is surprised to be caught by Kinn and walks up to him and says hi like nothing is going on. Kinn just looks at Kit. Kit knows what he wants to know without him even asking. He decides to tell him. Yes, Kim is here. No, I am not telling you where. He does not want anyone to know he is here. If I would not be coming back from seeing Non, you would not have noticed me. Kinn decides to go back to the others as he figured Kim is with Chay. Little did he know that Kim was sitting in a corner in the dark where no one could see him watching the show. He was proud of Chay.

Kinn sat down and Porsche asked him where he went. He says the bathroom like everyone else. Vegas just laughs. Lately the cousins have been getting along, much to the irritation of Korn. The lights go out and the MC says that the talent show is about to begin. The first up was the Faculty of Medicine. They did a nice skit of an emergency call. It was funny and had people laughing. The Faculty of Engineering quickly assembled a mini car. It seemed each faculty was doing something that represented their faculty. Soon there were only two faculties left. Faculty of the Arts and Faculty of Music. The music faculty was slotted to be last due to the luck of the draw.

Minnow was nervous. Chay came up to her and told her just to go out there and perform as if they were in the music room and it was just the two of them. This made Minnow smile. She could do this for Chay. She knew how much Chay wanted to sing this song. She was not sure why he wanted this particular song, but she would not let him down. She hoped to be his girlfriend by the end of the night. She casually watched the Star and Moon from the Faculty of the Arts do a skit that brought a lot of laughs. Pretty soon she was told her and Chay were about to go on. She checked to make sure nothing was wrong with her clothes and prepared to go out on stage.

The MC announced we have the last presentation by the Faculty of Music Star Minnow and Moon Porchay. The stage went dark.

The entire auditorium was mesmerized with the performance. Porsche was seeing his brother singing in Chinese and it humbled him. He had no idea. In the dark corner, Kim had tears in his eyes. He knew what this song meant. It was Chay's goodbye to him. Even before the performance ended, he got up and walked out. He knew Kinn was going to send him the entire performance later anyway. As he was walking out, he took one last look at Chay. At least he was happy. After the performance, the MC asked what the name of the song was. Chay responded it is called Cut Off Love. He was next asked why he chose that song. His answer surprised everyone. It is a song from a drama I watched with my brother-in-law and the song helped to soothe me.

Nao leaned over and asked Macau, who is Chay's brother-in-law? Chay leans back and points to Khun, who has tears in his eyes and is saying Oh Chay. For once Top just lets him be. Vegas looked at Kinn and said, well I think we know who is going to be the Campus Star and Moon. Kinn was still sitting there speechless. He knew Kim was out there somewhere and had to be proud of Chay, but he also knew what this song meant, and he was worried about Kim. Soon all the stars and moons were back on the stage, and they were being handed their achievements. Chay received the most votes and was given his sash. Soon, the MC said the moment we have all be waiting for, the crowning of the Campus Star and Moon. There was a drum roll, and the MC opened the envelope and announced that this year's Campus Star and Moon were from the Faculty of Music. The entire auditorium erupted in applause and praise.

Nao looked over at Macau and said, "I bet you are happy that your boyfriend won. Macau looked at Nao and asked him why he thought that. Nao said, everyone says you two are dating. Macau laughed. Nao, I treat him like a cousin. Chay is Porsche's younger brother, he is sitting there next to my cousin Kinn. Kinn and Porsche are in a relationship. I am not dating Chay. Nao smiled as he did have feelings for Macau but did not want to get in the middle of his relationship. He then tells Macau; oh, I did not know. Macau rubbed the top of his head and messed up his hair and said silly boy. Vegas saw this and smiled. His brother was happy.

Everyone hung around and waited until Chay was free to go up and congratulate him. He got a huge hug from his Hia. Khun gave him a tearful hug and was carrying on so much that Top decided to take him out of the auditorium. Wat, Mil, & Dim came running up to Chay at this point and gave him a big hug too. Chay had tons of flowers, so he handed them to Wat, Dim, & Mil and told them to decorate the Music Faculty with them as he can only put so many in his dorm room. Chay was surprised to see Nao with Macau and got hugs from both as well. Minnow was getting upset as people were ignoring her and giving all their attention to Chay. Umm, she is the Campus Star, so she walks over to Chay and gets in between him and Vegas and tells Chay that they need to get their picture taken. Chay tells her to give him a minute as he is talking to his family. Minnow now realizes that these are the Theerapanyakul's. Shoot, did she just make a mistake. She quickly apologizes and says that they need to get their picture taken with the event sponsors. Kinn and Vegas know this since they were Campus Moon's themselves and tell Chay to go and enjoy the rest of the night and they will see him later.

Minnow leads him over to where her father is as he was one of the sponsors. He starts talking to Chay and telling Chay how impressed he was and if he needed anything to let him know. Chay listens half-heartedly because the one person he wanted to see tonight was not here. He knew he would not show up, but he was hoping. He chose that song because of Kim. It was his love song to Kim. The drama was called Love Between a Fairy and Devil and Chay really felt like he was the fairy and Kim was the devil.
