I left Carol with a babysitter. Joe said he had a surprise for me at the gym. I went to the gym to see all of the lights were off and a candlelit dinner sat in the middle of the wrestling ring. Joe stood in a suit with a bouquet of flowers.

"Joe?"

He helped me into the ring and pulled out my chair for me. He sat down across from me.

"What is the occasion?"

"I just wanted to celebrate for you going to therapy and getting some help. I'm so proud of you, baby girl."

I kissed him and we sat down and ate some delicious food. I was so happy. Joe and I had not been on a date in years. I couldn't believe he did all of this for me. But as much as this moment was perfect, we needed to talk about...

"GiGi?" I heard Joe say.

The lights were flipped on and in walked GiGi.

"What are you two doing?"

I was going to lose it and Joe could see it.

"We're actually on a date."

"A date? Who had that bright idea?" She sounded as if she was disgusted by the whole thing.

"Me, actually."

And then like a switch being flipped, she looked at Joe like he was Prince Friggin' Charming. "Really? That is so sweet. I wish I had someone who would do that for me."

I couldn't take it anymore. "Well, there are tons of gentlemen who would be happy to date you at the bar or maybe on Tinder."

"Oh, I'm not into that whole dating site stuff. And at the bars there are just a bunch of drunks looking for one night flings. I like to meet men in normal settings. Grocery stores, the mall, gyms, wrestling arenas."

She looked at Joe for that last one. I slammed the napkin on my table and got out of the ring. As I was leaving, I tripped and hurt my ankle.

"Evanna? Are you ok?" Joe asked, concerned.

I pushed him away and stood up on my hurt ankle and walked over to her.

"I think that you should leave. Now. Before I do something that I'm going to regret."

She looked appalled. "I was just trying to have a friendly conversation. You don't have to get defensive over me and Joey."

And that was when I snapped. If wasn't the flirting, if it wasn't the grouping, if wasn't the lunches, if it wasn't the demeaning speech towards me, it was that nickname. It was that ridiculously stupid nickname. I balled up my hand, ready to punch her straight in the face. She could see it too.

"I can see I interrupted something important and you are angry. Must have been your session today. You seemed pretty angry about everything. I'll leave you two alone. I just hope we can be friends, Eva. I don't want you to be mad at me during your sessions."

I swung and she turned and left. I threw my punch so hard that I lost my balance and fell onto the floor. My session today? How did she know about my session today? It must have been Dr. Patton. She was telling GiGi about my sessions? I felt so betrayed.

I walked into Dr. Patton's office the next morning. I had a pretty bruised face and a sprained ankle. I couldn't believe Dr. Patton, a woman I trusted, would tell GiGi about my sessions. I was going to get her license taken away for this. I walked into the office.

"Is Dr. Patton in?"

"Yes, but she is on her lunch break and...ma'am? Ma'am!"

I had already walked off to her office. I barged in on her eating a sandwich at her desk.
