From what Atsumu was excited about when he came into the classroom with Osamu, is that Valentine's Day is around the corner.

Yeah, he can't wait to receive chocolates and gifts from his fangirls. Even though everyday he will receive more than 5 love letters, more than 10 gifts and a bunch of sweet candies or snacks in this desk or locker or handed to his classmates or just straight away giving it to him.

What a weirdo.

First thing in the morning, all you hear is about Valentine's Day, going on dates, asking out, homemade chocolate. Like chill, it's just in three days. Unlike you, you didn't plan that stuff that early. Because it's not like you have a significant other to celebrate Valentine's Day with.

'Sad, I know. But I don't care.'

Sincerely, you know that a lot of students in Inarizaki High are single. Blame the twins and other hot boys that you were friends with from the volleyball team.

'But let me tell ya, nobody, and I mean nobody, stand a chance to win their hearts.'

Not for a valid reason, but a dumb reason.

First, they were dense as a rock. Do you know how rock is hard and never think because they're stone? Yeah, they're that dense.

Secondly, they always come for advice. Specifically to you because they thought you were not an anti-romantic person. Okay, that was true but you're not 100 percent good at romantic stuff, mainly because you never experienced it as well.

Thirdly, their first priority wasn't about love. It's either studies, families, or even a volleyball club. But you're pretty sure if they really did find their soulmates, their first priority would change instantly.

Ever since you've become the manager for the team, you've known the team for a long time. Though it's really sad that last year third-years graduated before you could fully get to know them. However, it was for the best. Just like our motto says:

思い出なんかいらん (Omoide nanka iran)
"We don't need things like memories."

Kita once told you about this, and it was only to you. "To be honest, I don't like that motto. It's not like the path is only in front of us. Focusing and being rash are two different things."

But Coach Kurosu and the Miya Twins had different mind, they always say,

Coach Kurosu: "If we keep holding onto yesterday, what are we going to be tomorrow? You only need one thing, challenge yourself today."

Atsumu: "Who the hell cares about being ranked first in Japan? Second? Or was it third? It doesn't really matter, really. That was yesterday."

Osamu: "Yesterday's already gone."
