A/N: This one is a mess, I apologise. You could skip it entirely, kinda a filler chapter. I am going to have the next one be a little more thought through and better planned. Vote and comment regardless of how shitty this chapter is :)

Hailee's POV

Founder and ex-owner of Y/L/N Industries, Y/N Y/L/N caught frolicking with Dickinson star Ella Hunt on their cute date at the cinemas.

Ella Hunt's and Y/N Y/L/N's new relationship, and everything we know about it.

Ella Hunt and Y/N Y/L/N the new power couple of Hollywood.

That was all I could see on social media and news outlets today morning. But mentally I was preparing to move on, all these stupid articles weren't going to affect me. I opened my contacts, scrolling down the list, till I reached the letter 'F'. Finally clicking on the one name I had been searching for, before hearing the phone ring, and ring, till she picked up.

Hailee darling, how are you?

I am doing extremely well. How are you? I heard you were in LA this week.

I am lovely, as usual. I am in LA for this week. Just some contracts to sign, and people to meet. Are you free tonight? If yes, we could meet.

I am free tonight and would love to see you. Our favourite pizza place?

Yes, the usual place.

Well, I had another thing to chat about.

Go ahead...

I am looking to date someone, and I remember you had a list of people who would love to take me out. Any chance you still have that list?

Ahh, why the sudden change of mind?

No real reason.

Mhmm, I still have the list, needs a few adjustments now. I can bring it to our dinner.

Amazing. I will see you at 7 then.

Perfect. See you then.

Bye.

Bye.

Perfect. That's the first step in the right direction.

Griffin's POV

So it's 11 on a Monday, and I am walking up Y/N's driveway. He sees me walking his way, and waves yelling "Morning mate." "Morning Y/N. You haven't started without me, have you?" I asked. "Not started the painting, but I started masking off the parts we wouldn't want to paint." "Cool." We spent the next hour, priming and sanding the car, making sure every nook and cranny was primed and ready to be painted. Y/N sat down exhausted as we finished up the final part, and said "Okay, I think we have everything primed. Just need to wait an hour before we can start painting. Want to grab some lunch Griff?" "Yes, we can take my car. It's parked in Hailee's driveway." I replied, drenched in sweat. "Sure, just let me clean up. There is a bathroom right next to the living room, you can clean up there as well." "Thanks," I replied as I stepped into the bathroom, washing my sweaty face and hands and drying myself with the hand towel.

Five minutes later, Y/N walked down the staircase, his hands clean and his t-shirt changed. He flung a t-shirt across the living room and over to me on the sofa, as he said "Here, take this. It should fit you, hopefully." "Thanks, man," I replied as I removed my old t-shirt swapping it for the one Y/N handed me. It was a little looser than I expected, but fit me well enough. We walked out and stepped into my car. As I started the car, Y/N said "We could go to either Frankie's Pizza or The Burger Joint. Upto you." "Let's do The Burger Joint, I have had pizza every day for the past 3 days." I replied chuckling before I asked "How do you know about The Burger Joint though? Have you been there before?" "Nope, Hailee gave me her list of the best restaurants in LA, so I looked through it while I changed." I looked at him, my jaw dropped to the floor, in silence, as he pointed towards the road. My head swivelled back, focusing on the road before I asked Y/N "How did you manage to get the list from her? She never shares that list with anybody. I have asked her so many times, and she keeps shutting me down." He chuckled while he replied "Well, it's sort of a long story." before he recounted the events of Saturday, talking in detail about how things went down in the arcade. After he finished his story, I said "You must mean a lot to her, she would never share the list with you otherwise." in a serious tone. Y/N realised that the tone of the conversation had turned sincere, so he paused, probably to collect his thoughts and replied "Well, I think out of everyone in LA, she is easily the best person I have met. I got extremely lucky having her as a neighbour, and more importantly as a friend. I couldn't have asked for anyone better to be my first friend here." He sounded thoughtful and as genuine as they possibly could, with his tone and voice further enforcing his words, and truly conveying what he felt.
