Iris Diana Ash was over the moon.
She had the absolute best time of her life in Narnia.
She had already got to meet her favourite people and see some of Cair Paravel...well what was left of it.
The Pevensies were wonderful people and she found that they enjoyed her presence as much as she enjoyed theirs.
Soon enough they became steadfast friends.
Peter bonded with her over the fact that they both felt the world , their world, was unfair and wished to change things. Susan was incredibly curious about their world in Iris' time and talked to her for ages about books. Lucy was really, like really happy that Iris was there. She wanted someone closer to her age to talk to. And they indeed did talk, for hours, about anything and everything. Edmund, much to Iris' surprise, was the Pevensie she became closest to. She never knew why but she had always related to Ed as a character when she was in their world.

Sitting amongs the apple trees with the four siblings. Iris felt as peace. For once, she had always had this dark cloud following behind her and threatening to drench her and her path in pouring rain.
That cloud disappeared.

But time was not going to be on her side for long. Soon enough she would be leaving Narnia. And she knew it.
So, she did what only Iris Ash would do.
Enjoy her time while it lasts.

" So, you're saying that Mr. Tummus had found a way to record music?!"
Iris asked in shock as she and Edmund discussed Narnian music whilst eating apples. The three other people sitting beside them were covering their laughter.
"Does Ed know that that is by far the longest he had managed to talk to a girl?" Lucy questioned playfully as she giggled softly at the conversation the two 14 years olds were having.
"No, Lu , I think Ed's too focused on the fact someone has the same obsession with music as he does." Susan replied while trying to figure out how Iris' phone works.

About that, Iris managed to find that she still had her phone, airpods and notebook. Susan soon found out about this and practically begged Iris to show her how it works. It's safe to say Susan was shocked. Really shocked.

"They have been going on about this for 2 hours, 2 HOURS! From what Iris told us about we have to meet this Caspian guy and then fight a war, again! " Peter commented as he dragged his hand down his face.
Lucy rolled her eyes at her brother's behaviour, "Well at least they're trying to be at least a bit optimistic, unlike some of us.", She gave him a pointed look.

Susan turned her head at Lucy's actions. Her sister had grown more confident when in Narnia. After being sent back from their 20s to their respective ages in the human world, Lucy had suffered most. She regularly went inside all the wardrobes in Professor's house and check if Narnia was there. It wasn't.
When they went back home, Lucy check all the wardrobes in their house hoping, praying that she'd fine Narnia. She didn't.
She became less confident in her own skin cause even she knew that they truly belonged in Narnia and not in the "real" world. She slowly became a shadow of her happy self. But now , in Narnia, she was back to the Lucy they'd all missed.

Edmund suddenly stood up and walked away from the conversation to face the ivy wall they were leaning on, leaving Iris to frown in confusion.

"Why Ed? Why? Two hours you could have gone on for an hour longer!" Lucy said as she sulked.

Edmund looked at her for a split seconds confusion.
"Pardon?"
"She owes me three pounds when we get home." Peter replied smugly
Susan sighed before explaining " They had a bet going on for how long you two would talk for."

Iris laughed but then stopped when Edmund knocked on the wall.

"What on earth are you doing?" Peter said
"It's hollow." Edmund replied as he heard a sound.
He took out his pocket knife and started removing the ivy.
Lucy was first go catch on
"Remember Pete, Su the treasure chamber in Cair Paravel! It should be here!"
Peter jumped up and started helping Edmund take down the ivy, excited to see what was left now.

After removing the ivy with sticks and the pocket knife until it broke, they finally faced an old wooden door with a lions face etched upon it.

"Aslan." Iris said in awe.
Lucy nodded solemnly.
Peter and Edmund broke the door and faced the dark depth of the chamber.
Peter bent down and took a wooden stick form the ground and tore a bit of his shirt and wrapped it around the stick.
"Anyone has matches?"
Edmund rummaged through his bag.
"No, but would this help?" He pulled out an electric torch.
Peter stared at it before smiling and exclaiming "You could've mentioned that earlier!"

Edmund laughed and went down first, holding the torch so that everyone could see.
They all reached the end when the saw the statues.
They moved past the Pevensies old selves and remarked at the items they knew.

"Oh it's out coronation rings!"
"And the crowns!"
"That's the chess set!"
" Mr Tumnus' handkerchief!"

"I can't believe it! It's all still here!" Peter exclaimed as he excitedly looked around at things that time but not them had forgotten.

Lucy rummaged through her chest before pulling out a dress.

"I was so tall."

"Well you were older then." Susan remarked as she anxiously looked through piles of clothes in her chest.

"As opposed to hundreds of years later..." Edmund began and Iris finished his sentence "When you're younger."

He looked at her, shocked "Ho- How? did?-" he spluttered as Iris smiled softly and turned to Susan. She looked panicked.

"What's wrong?" Lucy asked , concerned

" My horn...I must have left it on my saddle the day we went back." She replied sadly

Peter opened his chest and dust drifted across the room. He pulled out his sword and shield and a faint sound of roaring echoed throughout the room. He held his sword before reading out the inscription.

"When Aslan bears his teeth, winter meets its death."

Lucy continued "When he shakes his mane, we shall have spring again. Everyone we knew... Mr Tumnus and the Beavers... their all gone."

Iris looked at them expectedly " I think it's about time you all figure out what's going on."

They faced the centre of the room, covered by a sheet what seemed to be a statue.

"What's this?" Susan remarked as she stepped forward to inspect it.
"Looks like a statue." Edmund replied blatantly
Susan smiled " I think we know that Ed."
"Enough suspense just see what it is!" Lucy excitedly exclaimed before reaching up and pulling the sheet down.

They all coughed as the dust flew at them. It was a statue of a girl. She had a phoenix resting on her shoulder and a sparkling crown of stars and flowers resting upon her hair. She also had a locket.
Her dress was decorated with precious gems. The girl was smiling, she looked happy, the kind of queen Narnia deserved.
She had a rainbow like aura of light around her and she had bows and arrows with her.
She held a sceptre in her right hand.

"Who is she?" Lucy asked, curiously
" I don't know" Peter replied
" Oh look, there's a plaque!" Susan said pointing toward the grown where there was , indeed , a plaque.

Edmund knelt down and brushed the dust off and started reading.

"Queen ... Ash
The Dreamer
Last True Queen of Narnia
Protector of the Realms.
The first name is rubbed out."

All heads turned towards Iris as she took a step back.

No, I'm not her, I'm Iris from Earth, EARTH! Not Narnia. But then again my last names Ash no one in my family has the last name of Ash.

"Did you lie to us? Are you from here?" Peter question angrily

The entire room held its breath.

"I don't know."
