Khloe

I blew a deep sigh while watching the vast ocean glimmer due to the light of the moon and the stars.

I'm sitting on the lounger, facing the dark and wide ocean. The little lights coming from the yacht makes the scenery more beautiful and calming.

"Hindi ka sasali sa bonfire?"

I didn't have to turn my head to know who it was. From my peripheral vision, I saw her sat on the lounger next to mine.

"I'm fine here. " I simply said. Mas gugustuhin ko pa rito kaysa makipagplastikan sa mga taong naroon. Ariella insisted the bonfire. Siguradong may pinaplano na naman iyon para pahiyain ako.

"They asked me to get you. Wala ka raw karapatan tumanggi dahil si Ariella ang nagbayad ng lahat. According to her, we should follow her rules. " Connie said sarcastically.

"Tell her to shut her trap. I paid for myself. I don't follow just anyone's rules. I follow mine. Don't include me to her drama. " Walang ganang saad ko.

"You paid for yourself? " Gulat na tanong nito.

Tumango ako at humiga sa may lounger. This is kinda boring. Kung alam ko lang na ganito ang mangyayari ay di na ako sumama.

"Shit! Dapat talaga nagbayad na lang din ako. "

Tumayo si Connie at naglakad pabalik sa may bonfire. I yawned. I suddenly felt sleepy. I slowly closed my eyes. I'll just take a nap.

It didn't take long for me to fall asleep. Dahil na rin siguro napagod ako sa byahe kaya mabilis akong nakatulog.

Nagising ako nang maramdaman na may humaplos sa pisngi ko. When I opened my eyes, there was no one. Maybe it was just the wind? My forehead creased when I noticed a blanket covering my body. I am wearing a bikini top and shorts. Medyo nilalamig na ako kanina. Tiniis ko lang dahil ayoko pang bumalik sa hotel room ko.

Lumingon-lingon ako para hanapin ang posibleng nagmamay-ari ng kumot. Is it one of the staffs? I don't think so. Wala akong nakikitang gumagalang employees.

Sila Connie at Nina naman ay kasama roon sa may bonfire. Who could possibly did this?

A person popped in my mind. Impossible. Logan is not here. Hindi sya sumama dahil kasama ako. After that night, he started to distance himself from me. Like how it should  be.

Halos dalawang buwan nya na akong iniiwasan. For what reason? Maybe that talk knocked some sense on him. That what he did was wrong. That not everything goes his way.

Inalis ko ang kumot at tumayo. Maayos ko iyong tinupi bago umalis. Baka balikan ng may ari. A small smile crept on my lips with that small act of kindness.

"Hey De Vera! Why don't you join us? I paid for everything. This is your reward for winning the pageant. " Ariella mocked.

I stopped from my track and faced her. Nakapalibot sila sa bonfire. Katabi nya ang mga kaibigan nya. Naabutan ko ang masamang tingin ni Dillon sa akin.

"How considerate of you. But I don't think that's the case. I think this is your payment for being a bitch."

May mga tumawa at napangiwi sa sinabi ko. Matalim ang tingin na binigay sa akin ni Ariella.

"Careful with your words, De Vera. Wag kang mayabang." Saad ni Dillon.

I smirked. Coming from you? Really?

"You should say that to yourself. Don't be full of yourself. You are good for nothing. "

Marahas itong tumayo at kumuyom ang kamao. Kung hindi lang sya napigilan ng mga kaklase namin ay baka nasugod nya na ako.
