Chapter 9

Hello everyone!

First of all i thank all my wonderful readers for giving me 750+ views on this story. Sorry for the delay but i was really caught up in my world. That reminds me , it is 4th June people! If you still didnt get it , today is 4/6. Now you must have got it. I thought no matter what i should give you a chapter today. This is more like a filler and i still think this chapter is incomplete. Do you feel the same way? If yes then tell and feel free to point out my mistakes. Enough of blabbering, here it is.

Chapter 9

Tobias

The voice comes from behind me. It belongs to a dark-haired girl with three silver rings through her right eyebrow. Lauren.

Lauren says, 'I know you guys are shocked to see me and don't worry I will explain everything to you later but for the moment why don't we play the game. It has been a long time since I got to play with paintballs and have some real fun.'

'Okay, so let me repeat that Tris and I are the captains and all the boys are in my team and all the girls are in Tris's team. We have 5 minutes to explore and form our strategy and the time begins, now!' Uriah says.

'So my strategy is that two of us split up and see good positions to hide and attack and the rest formulate who is going to cover up etc, etc.' Uriah says.

'Let Caleb and Peter find out the positions and we can think of something by then. Is that alright with everyone?' I ask.

'Okay Tris's scary boyfriend' Uriah says.

'Come on lets get to work.' Caleb says.

So we formed a strategy which seemed pretty good to Uriah but, to me it seemed utter nonsense. Those two came back and showed us pretty good positions.

'Okay time up, I hope you guys are ready by now.' Lauren says.

'So I going to put a timer for 15 seconds and we have to take our positions.' Caleb says.

He puts the timer to 15 seconds and gives the signal. We all start running. I find one of the hideouts. I hear footsteps, someone is close but I can't see anyone. The footsteps are now retreating. I move ahead. I sense something behind me. I look around and see now one so I check on my left side. And Cara shoots a paintball at me. I duck for cover. It splatters on the wall behind me. She is about to shoot me again but this time I am faster than her. I shoot and the paintball splatters on her t-shirt. After all I have spent more time than her in the training room. 'You're out.' I say. 'Next time I am gonna shoot you. I won't spare you. Just give me a chance!' She says and then walks away. Never saw her out of control like this. I grin.

One down, three to go.

My path is clear so I move forward, checking behind myself every other second. I see a movement in my peripheral vision me. I go towards that side but no one is there. I check towards the other side. I see Lauren but she is already facing me. Lauren shoots, her paintball misses me by centimeters. I take a look. She shoots again, but just misses again. 'Need a little practice, huh.' I say. I shoot the paintball and I miss. 'What were you saying Four.' She grins. Someone shoots her on her back.
