Confrontation

Kaeya walked away waving at his brother, sadly smiling to himself. Was that really how he wanted their final goodbye to go? Why couldn't he just keep his mouth shut. Why did he have to let ever bottled up emotion come out? None of it was Dilucs fault, not at all. Kaeya would still be pathetically drunk every night, wandering the earth like a lost puppy's, with or without Diluc. Everything would still remind him of what he lost and what he turned his back on. Kaeya debated turning around and saying sorry but it was time to go.

As they arrived at the ruins of Springvale, Kaeya saw his cursed people sleeping and sitting around, suffering from their own pain. He wanted to make this as painless as possible for him and for them, but he knew deep down they wouldn't leave without a fight. Kaeya gave the orders to have everyone stay back and not engage in fighting until he gave the signal. Questioning looks crossed everyone faces but if Jean trusted in him, all the other knights did. Kaeya took a deep breath in, stuck his sword in the ground, mumbled a goodbye and walked out to the ruins.

Kaeya approached speaking hillichurlian so he wouldn't scare them. He just wanted to talk with Lumine, he didn't want a fight. That's why he left the knights behind. After watching them argue about it for a bit, two hillichurls forced Kaeya to his knees, grabbing him by the arms as a Cryo abyss mage approached saying that they will see if the princess is available. He watched a big hillichurl saunter off into the distance and dissappear for an hour and then come back with a Ruin Guard behind him, carrying the blonde princess.

"Let him go." Lumine said as the Ruin Guard put her down. The two hillichurls let go of Kaeya's arms and took their place by her side. Kaeya stood up, brushing the grass of his knees, laughing. What did they see in her? The only half decent thing about her is that the abyss founder appointed her second in command. She's not a true leader, she's just another Khaenri'ahian blinded by hate and revenge.

"What do you want Kaeya." Lumine said, her hair blowing gently in the wind

"What do you want," Kaeya asked sarcastically, "I mean you burned down an entire village, obviously you wanted my attention. So, now you have it"

"I want what you took from us," Lumine said walking towards him, "the girl." Kaeya laughed shaking his head, of course she did. They need an heir not some appointed fake royalty

"No."

"Why," Lumine said, "because she's your sister? You didn't even know she existed till today."

"That's exactly why I won't give her to you," Kaeya said softly, smiling at the ground, "she's my sister. I'll do anything to protect her."

"Kaeya you can either give her to us or we can take her."

"What if I went with you instead?" Keaya wasn't going to give Kaya over to this blonde lunatic. He didn't care if he had to turn his back on the only home he knew, he just wanted to protect her.

"No, you had you chance and you turned your back on us." Lumine said turning around and walking towards the Ruin Guard

"Why. What difference does it make. We're both Alberichs."

"The difference, Kaeya," Lumine said hopping up on the ruin guards hand, " is that she doesn't know where her loyalty lies. She hasn't been around long enough to know what to call home. You, Kaeya, you have ideas and opinions. Your loyalty lies everywhere and nowhere. You call yourself a cavalry captain, you swore you would protect these people, but here you are offering to once again turn your back on your home. I can't have someone lead who changes sides whenever they feel like it. Pick a side. Stay on that side," Kaeya stood glaring at Lumine, she will never get Kaya. Kaeya will take her place. He doesn't care if he had to kill Lumine to get there, but no one will lay a hand on his sister, "oh one last thing Kaeya, you lead your knights straight into a trap."

Kaeya turned around to see hillichurls, abyss mages, and abyss lectors appear out of nowhere behind the group if hidden knight's. They attacked the fist line of unprepared knight's, no doubtedly killing some right on the spot.

"I thought 'why not finish the mission you were given' I mean, you were supposed to destroy the wine industry and help weaken Mondstat so we could take over, but you were about as pathetic then as you are now."
