CHAPTER 5

Today's currently Tuesday, I moved half of my things on Dwayne's apartment already yesterday afternoon and slept still at my old apartment.

"Keep working on your term requirement while I am out." Professor Nick said and left the class.

"This is too much. We need to at least be able to ask for a longer due." My partner said and I totally agree.

"He is not the kind of person to change his mind tho." I said frankly.

"True, its due on Friday, right?" I nodded and kept on reading on my phone related articles for our project. I remember, I still must pack the rest of my stuffs until tonight, so I can finally rest and sleep properly. Sigh.

"Cindy." "Yes?"

"Do you get the direction? I don't get this part here." Tiffany pointed at the paper and I explained the way I understand it.

Few hours later, it's time to go home. The internship's start is tomorrow so I really need to finish moving today.

"Hand me the tape please." I said and Dwayne gave me the tape after he sealed the box of my books.

"How many more do you need to pack?"

"Mmm, just a little more. It's just the toiletries."

"That's just another box then?"

"Yupp. There. Done. I will pack the toiletries now." I ran to the bathroom and started cleaning up and sorting out things that I don't need and I need.

Few minutes later, I come back to the living room and saw him from the window relaxing outside in his car.

"I'm done!" I yelled so he would hear.

He then helped me put the box in my car and then I checked the whole house one more time before I locked it and we drove away.

"Do we move them all in now?" I asked already exhausted.

"It's already 8 pm. We should probably eat." I nodded in agreement and helped him cook a little something for dinner.

"There you go Miss Lopez. Bon Appétit."

"Thank you, Mr. Xander."

He smirked and said, "I bet that tastes so good, you will forget your name."

"Oh really? Huh? HAHHAHA." Maybe it's not really a bad idea to live here after all. He is always funny.

"Thanks for letting me stay here Dwayne."

"Don't worry about it." His lips curved up into a smile and I smiled back at him.

"Oh well, okay." I said and continued, "I'll do the dishes."

He helped me clean up the dining table and I washed the dishes which isn't a lot. Afterwards, we started putting the boxes inside the living room. We finished pretty quickly.

Friday, it's the due date of almost all the TR for this semester and the OJT is not helping, its so hard to work the whole day and then do the projects until 12 midnight. Mmmm. I think this is enough studying. Kidding.

"Hey, snacks ready." I looked up and smiled at Dwayne.

"Okay! I will just turn my laptop off." I immediately turned it off and got down from my bed. Hmmm. I can smell something really good from here. Yummm...

As I was walking down the stairs, I momentarily felt dizzy.

"Oh my god!" I reached for the rail but its too late, I am already falling from this high up...

"AHHHHH!" Strong arms suddenly grabbed me and stabled me down.

"Be careful Cid." Someone said making me open my eyes.

"Dwayne?"

"Yes, are you alright?"

"Uh- uhmm, yes I am, thank you..." His green eyes flickered with worry but me on the other hand, almost literally drooled at his pretty face up close like this... oh sheez.

"I am ok now; I think I can stand up." I managed to say and he held me by my waist to support me as I stand up on my own.

"*clears throat* so um should we go to the kitchen?" I asked looking down on my feet. This is super embarrassing...

"Mhmm." Dwayne hummed.

"Okay." My cheeks are probably red right now...
