Time Jump One year
"George I'm really nervous what if she says no?" matty asked, as he nervously paced back and forth, "Calm down you idiot, shes not going to say no, shes absolutely obsessed with you of course she'll say yes" george groaned, this was the 10th time matty had asked him this question today.
"You're right, you think she'll like it though, like the scenery?" the frontman asked, "Matthew you're literally proposing to her at sunset in Italy I think she'll love it" george chuckled. "You're right -" matty said again, and before he could finish he heard the familiar sound of her voice, "Quick hide" he said to his friend, george quickly took his spot in the bushes as jules and charli approached the top of the hill.
Jules was confused when she saw the familiar face of her boyfriend, staring back at her from the top of the hill. "Charli whats going on?" she went to ask, but when she turned around her bestfriend was no where to be found. "Hey darling" matty said, as he approached jules, "Hey matty, whats going on I thought you had practice tonight?" she asked, still confused on why he was here and in a suit. " Just follow me and I'll explain" he said, as he gentely grabbed her hand and led further down a path that overlooked the water.
"Whats going on matty?" she asked, still confused, "Jules you mean the world to me, you're my person, you're my muse, you make my bad days better and my good days excellent, I'm a better man because of you" he said, slowly reaching into his suit pocket to retrieve the small ring box, he slowly got down on one knee.
"Matty" jules whispered, happy tears pouring out of her eyes as she watched the man she loved kneeling down infront of her, "Julie Foreman will you marry me?" he asked. Jules nodded her head "Yes, yes of course i'll marry you" she responded, immediately cupping his face and pulling him into a kiss.
Cheers were heard as matty slipped the ring on jules's finger, she looked over at where the noise came from, and found the faces of her 6 friends, "Congratulations!" they all cheered in sync as they made their way over to hug the newly engaged couple.
Later that night, jules and matty were laying in bed, just soaking in eachothers bliss "I can't believe we're getting married" jules whispered as she faced her fiance, "I can't believe it either, future Mrs. Healy" matty smiled as he placed a gentle kiss on her nose. "I love you so much Matty Healy" she said, the smile never leaving her face, "I love you too Julie Foreman.
