"Jimmy, I swear I'm fine!" Scott chuckled.

Scott was sitting on the sofa beside Jimmy, who had managed to sit up while he was gone. Walking into the house covered in debris and a few small cuts had caused Jimmy to panic, insisting he clean up Scott like Scott had done to him earlier.

"It's Scott, right?" Jimmy attempted, Scott nodded. "Scott, you went out to get some honey and you've returned battered and bruised!"

Scott sighed, gently taking the wipe out of Jimmy's hand.

"Jimmy, it's fine." Scott reassured him. "It's just a few scrapes."

"But small scrapes can be infected." Jimmy tutted. "You helped me. Let me help you."

Jimmy took out a fresh wipe. Scott playfully rolled his eyes but his resolve quickly melted under Jimmy's touch. Jimmy wiped carefully, gently as if he was afraid Scott would shatter under him. The unintended intimacy of this moment: their moment could have been considered a scene from a romance movie. As Scott's eyes fluttered shut, he felt his heart skip a beat. Jimmy returned the affection, as his touch carried the same care and warmth. They felt comfortable and safe sharing their moment, it was as if everything was just as it should be. Scott felt a blush creep over his face.

Jimmy's hands were soft and gentle, and they felt so good against Scott's skin. He could feel Jimmy's breath on his face, and he could smell traces of clementines on Jimmy's body. Jimmy finished cleaning Scott's face and he reached for a plaster to cover a particularly nasty cut. Scott opened his eyes and looked at Jimmy. Jimmy was smiling at him, and there was something in his eyes that Scott had never seen before. It was a look of tenderness and affection, and it made Scott's heart beat faster. Jimmy gently placed the plaster on his cheek, the ghost of his hands making Scott tremble in loss.

"Are you feeling better?" Jimmy asked. The softness of his voice almost tipped Scott over completely.

"Yeah." Scott whispered.

The peaceful moment was shattered when Scott noticed Owen and Grian snickering across the room.

"What's so funny?" Scott raised an eyebrow.

"Nothing, nothing." Owen dismissed, waving his hand. "I'm glad you two are getting on."

Scott stared at Owen with confusion. Jimmy seemed to understand the comment, hiding his face in his hands with an embarrassed expression.

"What?"

"It's nothing!"

Scott looked around at his friends, slightly annoyed that he was missing whatever was making them react this way.

"Okay, Scott." Owen placed his hands on his hips. "Fess up. What happened?"

Scott paused. How much could he tell his friends? After all, he was an awful liar but he couldn't just admit what he and HotGuy had done together. It wasn't that he didn't trust his friends, he just didn't know how much he could legally say.

"Shop got attacked." Scott explained. "Roof caved in and I got trapped for a bit. HotGuy saved me."

Scott did not miss the way Grian's wings tensed up after hearing his statement.

"Well, glad you're alive." Owen exhaled a sigh of relief.

"On the plus side, they let me take my stuff home for free." Scott shrugged.

"How come?" Owen asked curiously.

"Cuz it was mainly medical stuff, they deemed it a necessary purchase." Scott explained. "Plus, everyone who works there is on minimum wage. Pretty sure they don't care enough considering they'll need to clear the store up."
