As Scar approached the craft club, he noticed that the air was thick with tension. The group of friends that usually welcomed each other with warm smiles and excited chatter were now standing in a tight circle, their faces grave and solemn. Scar's heart sank as he realised that something serious must have happened. He quickened his pace and joined the group, feeling a knot form in his stomach.
Scar scanned the group for Etho, hoping he could explain what was going on. But Etho was nowhere to be seen, and Scar couldn't help but feel a pang of concern. Has something happened to him?
Ren, the notoriously extroverted man, was standing apart from the group, talking quietly to Scott. Scar could see guilt etched on Ren's face, and he wondered what could have happened to make him suddenly reserved. Ren turned to Scar and greeted him with a weak smile. Ren's weak smile did little to reassure Scar, who could sense that something was seriously wrong. Not wanting to crowd Ren, he instead turned to Joel.
“Is something wrong?” Scar asked, brows twisting in concern.
“It’s Grian.” Joel sighed.
"Grian? What happened to him?" Scar asked, his voice trembling with anxiety.
Joel let out a deep sigh and looked down at his feet. "Ren got too passionate about his ideals and... well, things got out of hand," he explained, his tone heavy with regret.
Scar's mind raced as he tried to imagine what Ren could have said or done to cause such a rift. He had always known that Ren was passionate about his beliefs, but he never thought it would come to this. He spared a glance at Ren, who was visibly shaking and being comforted by Scott.
Scar felt a mix of emotions - anger at Ren for causing this, sadness for Grian's plight, and a deep sense of helplessness. He wanted to do something, anything, to make things right. But what? Scar had no idea where to start. Looking for guidance, his eyes strayed back to Joel
"What can we do to help?" Scar asked, his voice firm with determination.
Joel looked up at Scar, his expression softening. "For now, we need to wait. Etho's inside helping Grian, it's best not to overwhelm either of them," he replied.
Scar nodded, feeling a sense of relief wash over him.
Ren hung his head in shame as Scott talked him through. Scar could see the guilt etched on his friend's face, and he couldn't help but feel sorry for him. He could tell that Ren had a good heart and meant well, but sometimes his passion for his beliefs got the better of him.
"I know, I know," Ren muttered, his voice barely audible. "I shouldn't have raised my voice like that. I just... I care so much about this, you know?"
Scott shook his head, his expression stern. "I get that, Ren, but you need to be more considerate of other people's feelings. You don't know what Grian's situation is, and you can't assume that your way is the only way."
Ren nodded, his eyes downcast. "I understand. I just... I need to fix this," he said, his voice trembling with emotion.
Scott let out a deep sigh and put a hand on Ren's shoulder. "You do, Ren. But right now, the best thing you can do is give him some space. Show him that you respect his feelings and that you're willing to wait and listen."
As he looked around at his friends, Scar realised that they were all struggling in their own way. They were a tight-knit group, but they were also human, with their own flaws and challenges. Scar knew that he couldn't fix everything, but he could be there for his friends, offering support and love when they needed it most.
When Etho finally emerged, Scar glanced upwards hopefully. Approaching his friend, he hoped for news of Grian's condition.
"Is he okay?" Scar asked, his voice filled with concern.
