The wind was tossing my blond hair and kissing my cheek. I was sitting cross legged. on the top of the hill, gazing at the small village below. The village's inhabitants had been so kind-so welcoming, even though I was a stranger. But I was still very worried.
Alex was out there somewhere at a lab-who knew if he was even still there. I had no way to contact him and make sure he was okay. I had no way to contact Amy again and let her know where I was. I felt helpless-alone.
There was a crunching of footsteps. A deep voice spoke. "You are not with the others." A statement, not a question.
I sighed and ran my hand through my thick long hair. "Well, I just wanted to go somewhere quiet, to think."
"Do you wish for me to leave?"
"No Optimus Primal," Shaking my head, I smiled at him. In a way he was almost like a kind uncle. "I don't mind your company."
The maximal leader stepped forward and paused besides me, even in a resting pose, still being alert of all his surroundings.
For a few minutes we sat in silence.
"Primal," I uncrossed my legs and now hugged my knees to my chest. "How do you think I got here?"
By now Optimus Primal, Cheetor and Rhinox all knew that I was from another world-just like they were from another planet. There was no hiding my random appearance and oddly enough it seems as though Primal knew right away that I was not from this world.
The maximal was silent for a moment. I was worried I should not have spoken but then he gave a slight sigh. "I do not know Amy. But it does make me wonder who or what else is able to travel to this world from your own." He frowned. "I can only imagine the consequences if a great evil were to traverse through from your home to here."
Looking at the Maximal, I realized he was worried-his voice grave and a concentrated expression on his face. It made me worried too–what made it so Rey, Alex, and I could travel to this world? Would it allow other people to travel to this world? Even evil threats?
A sadness filled me again. "My younger brother and my friend also came here when I did," I said softly, resting my head on my knees. "But I don't know where they are now and I am worried that they are in danger."
A heavy hand rested on my shoulder and Optimus Primal spoke. "It is hard when we are separated from our loved ones, but we must keep going, holding their memory close in our hearts as we continue on in their remembrance."
I mulled over the Maximal words. Holding a loved one in memory—I had been doing that for quite a while, ever since what had happened to Ethan.. Then I turned and glanced up at him. "You lost someone close to you?"
Primal was silent. Then ever so slowly he nodded. "Yes. I lost my father."
His words were painted and I could almost feel the heavy weight on his shoulders.
