"The whole journey back, I was silent. For the first time in my life, I had nothing to say.
"You okay Duddette?" Mirage asked as he turned down a side street in the city.
"No," Folding my arms, I barely whispered the reply .Bee was gone-forever. He had been killed right in front of me, right after saving my life.
"We are almost to my place," Noah spoke up from where he sat in the driver's seat. Mirage suddenly pulled over down and back alleway.
"Hey Noah, give us a minute will you?" Mirage suddenly spoke up.
"What?" The young man seemed confused. He looked at me with worry. "Ray are you oka-"
"I said give us a minute," Mirage flung his door open and propelled Noah out by pushing the seat forward.
The man fell to the ground with a grunt and then glared at Mirage who promptly slammed his door shut. Noah went to try the door but Mirage hastily locked it.
Now Mirage spoke to me. "Okay sister, come and sit."
"Wait what the heck did you just do?" I stared at the radio, frowning. "Why did you throw Noah out?"
"No changing the subject," Mirage scolded. "you-"
"Be quiet and unlock the door!" I tried to unlock the door but Mirage promptly locked it again. I scowled. "Let him back in!"
"Nu-uh," Mirage said sternly. "It's time for us to have a heart to heart; just you and me sistah. Come and sit."
"I am sitting," I spoke in the same monotone I had been speaking in since we had left the battle scene at the museum.
Mirage sighed dramatically. "I meant in the front seat." He lowered the passenger seat.
Rolling my eyes I climbed from the backseat, over the console and into the driver's seat. "There, that's better?" I snapped at him.
"Well aren't you a Ray of Sunshine," the autobot remarked in a smirking tone.
At this remark I felt my mouth lift slightly in a smile. But then I scowled just as hard.
"You wanna talk about it?"
"About what?" Crossing my arms, I stared down at my lap.
The autobot insignia on the radio flashed as Mirage spoke through it. "About how you are feeling."
"Well I sure am not feeling rosy," I sighed heavily. All at once something snapped inside me.
Leaving forward, I put my forehead on the steering wheel. "I can't believe he's gone," All at once demeanor broke and I spoke in a whisper, tears filling my eyes. "I wish I could go back-and change things." Now I began to openly sob.
There was silence for a few minutes and then my tears began to steadily lesson. Finally they stopped.
"Are you feeling better now?"
