You softly slam your head against Phil's desk. You had been studying for hours and you still just couldn't retain any of the information. You had been reading your history book but after you read each word, it slipped away as if nothing were ever there.
"Philllllll" You breathed lifting your head up from the desk, "how on earth did you finish university?" He chuckles from his bed, "exactly the same way you will; with bags underneath my eyes and stress on my shoulders." You groan, knowing this history final will not be any easier than studying for it has been. "Did you take American History?" You ask turning to face Phil who is sitting on his bed managing bills. He peers over his glasses to look at you, "no, I'm sorry, love." This was the Phil You loved the most. You loved how he looked like a grown up yet also extremely relaxed. You hated when he wore contacts as you felt they didn't bring out the true beauty in his eyes. You loved looking at him with messy hair, pjs, and some random assortment of socks. You just loved him.
"Why don't you teach me about whatever you're studying?" He broke the silence as he paid the last of the bills. "Why?" You asked confused. "People learn and retain information better when they are teaching it to someone else." He smiles widely "remember, love. I minored in Psychology." You laugh at his shameful pride and nod in agreement. "Wait!" Phil shouts jumping up and rushing to the desk that you had recently gotten out of. "Phil, what are you doing?" You laugh. "You're the teacher, I'm the student. Now lecture like teachers do." He smiles and you walk in front of him "Okay. So, there's a lot of debate to when World War II actually started. Some argue that it began when the League of Nations started appeasing to Germany in the late 1930's others say-" Phil rose his hand high in the air. "Um miss? What do I call you?" You smile. "Phil, you know my name, just call me y/n.""no I have to call you by your last name.""then call me ms y/l/n." You giggle. "Really? Dammit. I was hoping for Mrs. Lester." You smile and flick him "shush and pay attention! As I was saying some argue that it didn't really become a world war until the US involvement after Pearl Harbor, the US joined the war December 8, 1941."
And that's how the rest of the night went. Phil would ask a million questions that you seemed to always have the answer to, you quite astonished as to how much you actually knew. Phil could be silly, and strange but he was so smart. You really really loved him.
