If there was one thing that never failed to cheer Jinx up, it was Christmas. It wasn't a religious thing or something. It was the music, and the smells, and the way everyone in the world was suddenly nice and caring for just a few days. You pass by a stranger and they tell you to have a merry Christmas, that sort of thing. Everyone's just in a good mood.

Jinx usually started getting festive at the begging of December, but that was out off till Vi's birthday on the nineteenth. They decorated the comically large tree, made cookies, broke out the ugly sweaters.

It was great, and just what she needed to get her out of the house again.

Vi had brought her out shopping for Christmas gifts, of course in awful disguises including moustaches, which is when some paparazzi found them. It was still fun though.
After their short conversation, Vi did seem to be trying a little harder to be involved and do sisterly things. Jinx appreciate efforts, and it might be starting to work a little.

She'd also found the time to try to talk to Caitlyn about Lux, who had only grown further distaste for her in her few visits. As hard as she tried to convince her Lux was a good friend, it just didn't stick.

Caitlyn still thought she was only out to get Jinx, and would end up hurting her. Lux's attitude didn't help, but that's just the way she was.  Mostly though, Caitlyn just didn't like her because of her family. Evil blood and all.

Vi was still on the fence about her. Caitlyn of course told her all the rotten things about her and her family. But Vi kept the mindset that since she was Jinx's friend and Jinx trusted her, she must not be that bad.

Both of them were wrong of course, and Jinx knew it would take a while for them to actually get it. Whenever Lux was comfortable enough to be herself, they'd hopefully understand.

Since Jinx had sort of introduced her to her family, Lux wasn't able to visit, caught up in some minor family drama and 'chores', which included pretending to be caught having dinner with Jarvan, and a whole bunch of stuff for magazines and papers.

As much as Jinx really liked having her around those two days, she did still need her time with her family. Lux being busy worked fine, it gave Jinx that time.

Plus, there was the promise of ice skating before Lux went back to America on Christmas day. That was certainly something Jinx was looking forward to.

They hadn't had any contact beyond Lux letting her know she was busy, since her phone was regularly checked and she didn't want people, especially her family, knowing they were friends. Jinx still thought the same. She was just happy she could actually know with confidence that they were friends now.
