Stormy skies never got Jinx down. They especially wouldn't drag her down today.

The dark, nearly night like skies, with thunder rolling in the distance was only lifting her mood throughout the morning. It was keeping her decently entertained while she had to bear through her classes, watching the darkest parts grow even closer, and checking her phone every five minutes to see if the watch had turned to a warning yet.

Maybe she'd get out of class if it was bad enough. The administration, Mel at least, were so sensitive and careful.

She was very eagerly, and somewhat anxiously awaiting the end of the school day so she could get Lux's answer, without sleepiness clouding her judgment.

So far, she'd spent the day using the storm to distract her during the classes they had together, trying her very best not to glance in her direction or make any sort of connection. Which could be a little suspicious, since usually she'd bug her, but she did tell Taliyah she was avoiding her. She avoided her all the time. She was worrying too much. It was probably fine if she glanced back once or twice.

Lux didn't catch her, not at first at least, none of the first six times in the single class period when she finally decided it would be fine to look, and the storm just wasn't enough to hold her over till the end of the day.

Then, once she did catch her, shooting her a glare, Jinx decided to try to keep her eyes to herself and the window for the rest of that class. She didn't want anyone else noticing her constant glancing over.

But her phone buzzed not long after that decision. It slipped her mind Lux didn't text and she immediately whipped her phone out with only Lux in mind, a stupid hope in the back of her mind it would somehow be her.

Of course it wasn't Lux, which immediately made her feel stupid, and disappointed. She sighed, as she opened the message from Akali.

Kali- u plotting something ?

Jinx- question mark.

Kali- you just keep looking over at lux. Odd

Jinx looked back at where Akali sat, seeing her already smirking in her direction. Great. She didn't know what that was about. Jinx stuck her middle finger up at her, not so discreetly, and turned back around in her seat when she heard her name shouted from the teacher in front of the room.

Jinx- ya. maybe. mind ur business.

Kali- sorry. hehe.

Jinx glared down at the message. She didn't know how she should expect her to be reacting to their friendship but this felt off. Either way, she didn't like it.

She turned back around in her seat, phone out and camera at the ready, quickly taking aim and getting a decently bad picture of her before she could realise she was attempting to take one. She heard a gasp in offense as she turned back around.

Kali- what was that????

With a quick markup, she drew a crappy blue turd over the picture of Akali, chuckling down at her phone as she did. Then she sent it to her. Hopefully it would work to deter her from sticking her nose in other peoples business. What was she being so observant for?
