Warnings- discussion of self harm - homophobia

Lux had lied to them all. Really well, for a decent amount of time too. It seemed completely out of the question that she could actually be friends with Jinx. Especially not close friends. Which, they apparently were. Although, she said they weren't exactly friends for most of the time. But she still lied about her relationship with Jinx. For well over a year.
Like she'd promised when they'd discovered her in Jinx's room, she explained 'everything' to them the following day.
To Lux's credit, she actually admitted she didn't plan on ever telling them about their friendship. She knew what they all thought of Jinx and didn't want them to think less of her just because she was friends with her.
They assured her they wouldn't have, even though Jinx was odd, it didn't make Lux weird for wanting a little freedom with her friends. Although, now that she'd gone and lied to them for so long they kind of did.
Lux also recognised that.
She said that she'd understand if they didn't trust her anymore, and she'd try her best to regain it.
A perfect apology, and as Evelynn pointed out in a whisper to Akali, just as she'd been taught. Which Akali wouldn't have really thought about otherwise.
Lux then got to actually telling them why she was friends with her in the first place.
'A breath of fresh air' she called it. She was always so focused on following rules and being polite that having a friend that was the exact opposite of all of that was relieving. That made sense. She was always too well behaved, even at parties. Most people excluded her from things because they knew she was good natured and wouldn't agree with it.
Anyone would get sick of that, and want at least some excitement. There were probably better choices than Jinx, but if it was working for her, whatever.
After Lux finished and left, Ahri, Kai'sa, Evelynn, and her all agreed not to trust her. Not for a good while at least. Evelynn had her comments, but in the end, they agreed to just go with it for now. They wouldn't think her any different, other than being way to good and dedicated at covering things up.
The group went their separate ways for the night after talking for another hour or so. And Akali, as she had stared to do quite often now, just made the quick stop at her room so she could change into a t-shirt and shorts, while the rest of her band mates thought she was going to bed, before leaving and making her way right to Evelynn's dorm.
Was she also hiding things from her friends? Yes. But it wasn't anything crazy, they were just really good friends, which everyone in the group obviously knew. And everyone was close with each other. Evelynn was just secretly a little more affectionate with her, even more than she was not so secretly around the others. Nothing that couldn't be passed off as friendly. It wasn't anything close to what Lux was doing.
Anyways.
As soon as she snuck in, it was made obvious that Evelynn had theories. She was already in her expensive silk pyjamas, laying in her bed with her laptop open on her lap, staring at it with an intensity and a manicured nail between her lips. She looked up from the screen when the door opened, quickly motioning Akali over to the bed with a single finger.
"She's still hiding something." Evelynn told her as she approached the bed, climbing in next to her without hesitation. She'd gotten past being shy about that part, though it would never failed to make her heart beat faster. Especially since Evelynn insisted she lay so close.
