The Lower Market of Farden
This vast continent is something round, though with an imprecise circumference due to varying elevations and forms present in the land. The entire geographic locations within this massive plain remains yet been fully mapped out. There were mountain ranges and unknown forests scattered throughout the regions, all of which were obviously dangerous. With the presence of the monsters of chaos hidden in various places throughout the plateau, trade by land is very risk, as it has been estimated from experience that there wouldn't be without losses during transport.
To prevent a state of isolation, every country determined a trading point via a sea route that traveled in a direction surrounding the plateau to access the other nations. Although little is known, the ocean presented a lower risk of monsters than on land. It appears that the power of chaos is rather weak in water.
Located in the southern part of this continent lies the empire of Ladian. Farden, it's capital, sits on the empire's far eastern side, near the Ladian Sea.
Farden East Coast serves as the center of Ladian trading and transshipment. A place where all commodities and goods from different nations are transported, transferred, or exchanged.
The Serventine mansion is only a short distance to the coastline, and it would take no less than fifteen minutes by carriage of traveling.
Bendry took a step forward and appeared right in front of the shore, wearing a dark cloak that covered until his knees. Because it is still daylight, everyone and everything around him are very evident. Nevertheless, nobody noticed him as something odd. His head is covered by the hood. A black cloth tied over the back of his head covers the small part of his face in between his eyes and nose. His clothes are so ordinary that nobody would recognize any style on him. Even some kids walked straight by him, as if he was just another individual on the coast.
He could see four massive ships and some huge men carrying tons of goods on his left. They were carrying bundles on their backs while they proceeded along the dock, and then setting the items down as their feet touched the ground.
A noble-looking man was holding a piece of paper and a pen, probably noting down the items brought by the men.
As usual, the harbor is busy. Some merchants are purchasing from the men on the ships. People are out walking and looking for high-quality materials.
According to his knowledge, some of his father's employees should be here. They would interact with the traders, get sufficient data about the current situation with the shipments, and eventually hand over reports to Bendry's father or to the eldest sibling.
Bendry avoided looking further and shifted his scarlet eyes towards the right side of the shoreline. He observed a more packed roadway ahead. Stalls were piled up on either side of the path, all heading to the farthest point that would lead to the first intersection.
This is called the Lower Market. This is what the novel mentioned as a marketplace that offers goods of low quality at cheap rates for ordinary people and other lower-class to buy.
Judging from the villain's memories, Bendry believes there is only one Lower Market in every city throughout Ladian. This is the Lower Market in Farden. It is located exactly at the Farden East Coast for convenient purposes.
