Absences

The academy have calmed down for over two weeks. It felt great because everything sounded peaceful. There were no trouble existing except for some small feuds of students but it could be counted as normal in between them.

This should make everyone happy. This should make them feel at ease. However, it was not the same in the student council as the four boys and one girl were in a very difficult situation realizing that the entire reason of the problem is just because of its cause who did not show up in the academy for two over weeks.

How bothersome...

Bendry did not show up in the academy after the incident. The entire record of him showing in the academy after he was bedridden was two days and a half. That is not something to be happy at all.

Claymore was sitting on the couch with both arms and legs crossed. Among the five of them, he seemed to be the one so disturbed about Bendry's absence as his expression had been frowning the entire time ever since they arrived in the office. No. In fact, his face had been like this since last week.

At first, he noticed that Bendry was not in the academy the day after the incident since that guy did not show up in the library. He thought Nathan was worse because of that. The next day, Bendry did not show up as well. Nathan was really worse. Bendry could not move on in just a day. The fifth day after the incident, he found out from Bendry's class that he has already been absent for five days after the incident.

This dilemma made the mage feel bothered. He reported the problem to the student council but the guilty crown prince did not react at all. He did not respond as if he was not bothered. This only made Claymore more irritated by Nathan's blank expression. Nathan is really... worst.

As the seventh day (counting from the incident) ended, the academy took the initiative to send a letter to Bendry in his household to ask about his situation. This was according to the academy's regulations. If a student remained absent from his or her classes for over a week, the academy would send a notice to the student to ask regarding their situation.

Thankfully, Bendry responded immediately the day after the notice was brought to him. The academy just said that Bendry's letter said that he was sick again. Something like it was a contagious disease and that he must isolate himself from so many people so that those they would not be infected.

This was a sick joke.

How in the world could there be a disease that was contagious? Bendry knew there were no such diseases in this world that was contagious. If there was, then that was not a disease but a curse. But still, he wrote them in his letter because it was the first thing that came to his mind.

He said in his letter that he would not be around until the disease subsided but it was not sure when he would show up.

"I think your highness will really need to ask for forgiveness this time." It was then that their beloved Vanessa suggested while she sat on the other side of the couch. She was in deep thought as she said that.

The one sitting on the high chair stopped his hands from writing on a paper. His pen slid down to the desk as he froze, feeling defeat but still he was handsome. Vanessa hated him for sure. This pure and innocent girl have a strong sense of justice.

"Vanessa, you do not know much about him. I believe what I did to him is justifiable." Nathan picked his pen and began writing again.

Nathan believed his actions as justifiable. He believed in his heart. That time he wanted to blurt our his sorry was something really unbelievable. He just took pity on that devil? It was not funny. Soon that crafty man would become someone they truly hate and that would leave no space for him to take pity on that guy.
