Royal Problem

Sonic was about to wave Shadow goodbye when they reached his class, but the darker hedgehog only grabs a hold of his wrist pulling him closer.

"What are you doing?" Sonic stammers as his cheeks started to turn a shade of pink cause of being really close to the taller male's chest.

"You asked about my name..."

Sonic only nodded as his tilts back cause of the heat rising to the tips...he's never really been this close to someone before, Well who wasn't a friend, like Fiona and Knuckles.

"It's Shadow, Shadow Terios Dark"

Sonic only swallowed the lump that was in his throat down, he didn't really understand why his was so nervous around the two...I mean it was kind of his job to check in on new students and help them get comfortable in on campus and in their dorms, since he had a photographic memory. So he was good at directions. "S-Shadow..." he started.

Before the darker hedgehog could go further with his motion...he snapped out of his thought and let Sonic go, "Sorry about that...I'll see you back in the dorm"

Sonic watched Shadow walking into his classroom, he didn't really say long since he didn't want to late to his lecture so his just hurried off to his own class...doing his best to forget this encounter.

He just can't be falling in love with a stranger...this who love at first sight kind of thing is nothing but a myth.

The rest of the college was spent with Sonic doing his best to avoid Shadow...he was still confused about his own feelings, since he didn't know if he actually believed in that myth.

Sonic lets out a small sigh as he started making his way down the sidewalk back to the apartment complex, he didn't really have a lot of homework to do when he gets back to his dorm, it was having to come across Shadow.

Before he could enter the apartment complex, he felt something grab him and pull him into the dark alleyway between the apartment complex and the brick wall where the dumpsters are.

"He-Mephiles?!" Sonic said when he other dark hedgehog, it was kind of easy to tell Shadow and Mephiles apart, cause of the fur on there arms, Shadow had stripes on his arms, while Mephiles didn't.

"Didn't mean to scare you, I just wanted to talk to you"

Sonic only only nodded, though he can just feel his heart pounding against his chest, cause of how close he was the taller male...he just wanted to get away and lick himself in his room, to deal with his own thoughts about the two, and this stupid myth.

"Sonic?"

The blue hedgehog nearly jumped when he felt Mephiles' hand underneath his chin to lift it up so that he was looking into Mephiles' teal eyes. Which only made his heart thump against his ribcage, as he was trying to control himself.

"Mephiles...I" Sonic started, as he pulled himself away from the other hedgehog. "I don't know...if I'm ready for that..." he admits

"Right...I do apologize for moving rather quickly, I guess someone who is as beautiful as yourself is kind of want drawn me in" Mephiles said as he shifted his gaze away...no amount of Princesses that his own father forced him to date had actually captured his black heart much like Sonic did, just from watching him in secret...the soft, caring, gentle nature Sonic had, as well as his open mind. Was definitely something he admired about the blue hedgehog.

"But I'm not saying no...just, need more time" Sonic admits.

Mephiles only nodded...though him and Shadow only little time to hangout together. "I understand...but just let me know when you change your mind...Songbird"

Sonic only felt his heart beating again, from the nickname...after all no one had never given him a nickname before. When he looked back he saw that Mephiles was gone.

Sonic only rubbed his head...he was starting to get a headache from all that had happened today. He could really use a nap.
