Royal Problem

When Shadow got back to the grounds of the castle, he just sat down on the steps leading up to the castle entrance, he really couldn't forgive himself for what he did.

In fact he only growls at himself for losing control like that, he wasn't full alien but half, making it so that he loses control of his emotions, and love has to be the strongest emotion. He looks up at the night sky...he really hopes that Sonic could forgive him.

During that night, after Shadow had left the hotel sweet, Sonic had shut himself in the bathroom, of his hotel room he really couldn't got back sleep not when that sex session brought back old memories that he had completely forgotten, the grown hedgehog's hands all over his body, as well as him calling him names, forcing him do things that he didn't want to do.

But he was alone in this, most of his family is on the other side of the planet, he started to wrap up his arms in the bandages that he got from the first aid kit that was in the bathroom, he did manage to have get himself into the shower to clean the semen off of his pelt as well as blood. He never really seen that side of Shadow before but he was scared of him now.

Sniffing he pulled the sheets off of the bed that was stained after the session he puts them into the laundry basket for the hotel employees to take care of, for the rest of the night he spent it hugging his stuffed toy on the couch, crying to himself even now and again when those memories came flooding back.

In the morning Shadow had gotten dressed into his prince attire, he wasn't able to go back to sleep that night since he was feeling regret for losing control, when Sonic said those things to him. When opened the door to the his room he was met with a servant.

"The King and Queen would like to speak to you Prince Shadow"

"Great...if it's about the wedding I haven't decided on the date yet..." He grumbles to himself, he just started to make his way to the throne room, where he saw his fiancé in tears and hugging his mother. He didn't know what to think about this since he could care less about hurting Sally's feelings, it was Sonic that matter most to him.

"Nice of you to join us son" Doom said as he glares down at Shadow.

Before the darker hedgehog could explain himself. Sally ran over to him tears streaming from her eyes, "Why? Why would you do this?" She sobbed.

"What?"

"Princess Sally had told us about you sneaking out of the castle at night...she saw you with another male" Solaris swallowed the lump in her throat, "Honey...have you been cheating on your fiancé, with some peasant?"

Shadow couldn't lie about this...not that he had actually forced himself onto Sonic, even if it was cheating it was to late to the call of the wedding after all he was only twenty-nine, sure he was immortal thanks to his father's genes, but other princesses were not, with Sally only being twenty-four. It was getting married to a Princess or risk another war between nations, not that anyone had any arguments with Crisis Island, but it didn't mean it couldn't happen.

"Well Son?"

"I am..."

This only made Sally more upset, though it did put her at ease knowing who she was competing with, but it also explains her fiancé's behavior towards her.

"I see...Well seeing that this Engagement isn't gonna be called off, I forbid you from seeing this other hedgehog, you are to sneak past the guards you will immediately brought back to the castle, you are to build a relationship with Princess not some peasant" Doom hissed.

Shadow only mentally growls at himself, at least now he wasn't get the chance to explain himself to Sonic...that is if the hedgehog would hear him out. "I understand Dad"

"You are dismissed"

Shadow walked out of the throne room, where he saw Mephiles walking out the door of the castle, he couldn't really be jealous of that after he was gonna be ready for when his brother founds out what he did to Sonic...it was normal for them to fight, hell even spar but seeing that Mephiles cares about the same mobian that he did this fight will mostly be out of anger.

Mephiles saw the students start to pile into the bus for another lesson about Crisis Island's history, but amongst the students he didn't see Sonic, it was kind of unlike him to miss out on class.

"Um Mr. Franklin where is Sonic?"

"Mr. Hedgehog said he's not feeling good, but he'll do extra credit to make up for missing out today" The Teacher told Mephiles.

Though Mephiles knew it was probably something more than just some sickness he only thanked the teacher before heading inside the hotel.

When he arrived on the floor to the private sweet, he walked up to the door and knocked on it, "Sonic are you okay?" He didn't get answer, concerned he used the extra key that the front desk gave him, when he opened the door, he saw that Sonic wasn't in the main living room.

"Sonic?"

He called out as he checking every location that he could think the hedgehog could be, his ear twitches slightly at the sound of sobbing and whimpering from the bathroom. He only forced the door open thanks to it not being locked.

He stopped himself from letting out a gasp at the site, of the blue hedgehog cutting himself, from the experience last night and the returned of those bad memories, he only wraps his arms around around the sobbing hedgehog.

"I...I couldn't...stop..." Sonic sobbed, recognizing Mephiles' scent.

"I know"

"I...It hurts...so much..." Sonic wept.

Mephiles only presses Sonic to his chest while he turned on water to the tub, that the hedgehog was sobbing next, he only moved the hedgehog's arms over to the water to clean the blood off of his peach pelt.

Sonic sniffs and just let Mephiles help him with his self-harm wounds.

While Mephiles was wrapping Sonic's arms up in the bandages to help soak up the blood, he noticed the claim mark on the hedgehog's shoulder, he only mentally growled to himself. Of course it had to be his brother that hurt him.

"C-Can w-we stay h-here..." Sonic whimpers out, as he takes the baggy hoodie from Mephiles and the pants.

"Of course, I'll order room service for you" Mephiles said as he nuzzles Sonic's forehead.
