As Brawly broke into the dome-like chamber that was entirely white with blue lines on the wall, he saw the king standing in front of the crying judge, who was still held at gunpoint. By the looks of it, he had been forced to reveal the legend so that the king could wield the legendary blade. The assembled Lamedernelle blade was on a table between the both of them. The blade had a dark light emitting out of it, and on its handle was attached a thorn which looked like it was the crystallized form of a withered rose. The blade looked very heavy, and the edges of the shards were now completely hidden.
There were two cages held high above which held a human and an Astrouse respectively, but Brawly could not see them properly.
But just as Brawly looked around, King Wulfur spotted him and sent his special security robots to chase him. These robots were the same model Brawly had seen the night he met Mustro. The guards chased him and he tried to confuse them, barely outrunning them. Then he realized that his main priority right now was to save the judge. So in between of his run, he removed the space suit and threw it towards the judge and told him to make a run. As King Wulfur caught wind of this, he told his robots to go after the judge instead. But Brawly kept stopping them, letting the judge escape.
Before he could catch a breath, the robots encaged him too. This was his end, and he knew it. King Aeidos would need some time before sending someone over here. He was well-prepared for this type of ending. Mustro's words roamed freely in his head-
Life isn't a fairytale.
Not everyone gets a happy ending, he thought. He took a look at his life, only to again come to the realization that nothing was left.
Suddenly, the king ordered the cages which held high above to be pulled down. Brawly was flabbergasted after seeing the human in the cage. It couldn't possibly be, he thought. But it was true, what he was seeing.
It was his father, who had been presumed as dead. And the Astrouse in the other cage was definitely Mustro's father, who looked exactly like him. Even though he spotted his son, Brawly's father couldn't say a word to Brawly. Even though his father had been handsome and strong, now looked shattered from inside, and from the outside he was weak, in ruined black clothes. With his shabby hair, he looked dull.
It all made sense. His father disappeared when he was eight. He must've come here along with Mustro's father, and they were the ones who came to help King Wulfur, unaware of his evil deeds. And when they must've tried stopping him, they must have been encaged. And as the Astrouse was Mustro's father, he didn't want to mention it to Brawly. The reason why the Dravice came to his room was because his father was here too, but Mustro saved him from them.
The bittersweet emotion of finding his father in his final moments, even if it wasn't intentional, made him lose the ability to speak. He shed a tear of joy. But there was an indication that much time wasn't left, as the evil king started speaking.
"Hey Brawly, tried to stop me like your father, didn't you? Big mistake. Now I'll not kill you, that would be going easy on you. I will let you suffer, I will keep your father separated. I will make you suffer till your last breath. I sent my robots to get help from you, but it looks like this foolish kid wants to be a hero. Now you suffer, while I conquer this galaxy!"
He attached all the shards, and formed the legendary Lamedernelle. He then wielded the heavy blade with all his might.
"There's no one who can stop me n-"
Just as the king was saying this, he turned monstrous, and merged with the blade, which had now turned the shade of horrifying darkness. The spirit of the blade had come to life.
"IT IS I, LAMEDERNELLE! THIS FOOLISH KING WAS DUMB ENOUGH TO TRY TO USE ME! NOW I WILL USE HIS STRENGTH AND MY MIND, TO CONQUER. I AM NO LONGER THE BLADE THAT REWARDS ETERNAL LIFE."
It took a deep breath.
"I AM THE BLADE OF ETERNAL CHAOS!"
Lamedernelle went on a rampage, ruthlessly destroying everything it spotted. Brawly's world was shattering. The blade erased Mustro's father from existence with just a single strike. Brawly's end was now closer than ever to death.
The blade destroyed his and his father's cage, narrowly missing the both of them, and letting his father free. They both ran towards each other and hugged each other tightly, for who knows what was going to happen next.
For a second, everything freezes. Someone had entered the now ruined chamber. It was Mrs. Michisha. She had an iron sword in her hand. She ran towards Brawly.
"The legend is incomplete! I am the only one besides King Aeidos who knows the true prophecy. The blade is only eternal if it has all the qualities mention in the legend. And this one lacks the quality of the third shard, humanity! If you both wield this blade together, it may charge up with the counter Astralo to Lamedernelle! GO!"
They did as said by her, and the blade was now charged.
"Brawly, I am sorry. I am really sorry. I have always loved you, even though I have failed you with my four year long absence. I have failed to give you and your mom the best life, I promised to, by coming here. But you endured everything. You're brilliant. But we don't have much time now. Go and destroy Lamedernelle!"
Brawly had tears in his eyes. He ran towards Lamedernelle. He used his energy to cut it in half......
He had done it.
He had done it, not for himself, but for his friends and family. He had also avenged Bread and Crobbli by killing Wulfur.
"To Mustro, Mrs. Michisha, King Aeidos, and to my beloved mother and father, THANK YOU! With your help, I HAVE DEFEATED LAMEDERNELLE!"
He screamed in joy as the sky turned a beautiful pink, and fainted. This was his happy ending.
