AUDELIA'S POV
"No fucking way you bitch!" Valeria exclaims, throwing one of my pillows at me. I catch it before I lands on me, placing in on my lap as I sit in front of her on my bed. I let her continue her rant that I know is going to last longer.
For the past hour, I have been doing all the talking while she stayed quiet, listening to every little detail. The only times she did anything was sigh, gasp, scrunch her eyebrows and roll her eyes. Now that I am over with telling her everything she needs to know, it is time for the roles to be reversed.
She talks and I listen.
"I" She points to herself, "am your bestfriend! We are sisters! Yet you keep such an important thing away from me. You are telling like what? Three weeks later?" She says, exasperated and I just shrug. "Oh and let's not forget that you realised this a week ago!" I sigh. "You kept me in the dark, making me thing that you are just irritated for these past weeks when in fact, you have hiding this from me."
"I was not sure about anything myself." I retort. "How can I tell you when I am not even certain?"
"You could have talked to me and I would have helped you. I am seriously offended." She says in a disappointed voice, bowing her head slightly down.
"Are you now?" I ask, a small smile on my lips as I assess her.
Her red hair is slightly messy given the number of times she passed her hand through it while I narrated the whole thing to her. Her light brown eyes shine with curiosity, amusement, disbelief but no signs of offense or being hurt.
"Okay maybe I am not that offended." I let out laugh. "But I am." She quickly adds in a serious voice as she pins me with a playful glare.
"Yeah. Totally believe you." I dismiss her with a motion of my hand.
"But seriously, you fell for none other than Lorenzo Xaen D'Angelo. Among everyone in the world, all those boys who would be dying to be with you, you had to choose someone from the Italian mafia. Not to mention that he is their boss." She shakes her head, smiling to herself as if she cannot believe the words that are leaving her mouth. "I was only asking you to imagine this situation not turn it into reality."
"I did not fell for him." I say warily. "I just like him. It is just a slight attraction and I don't know how but it just happened."
"Well that is call falling for someone." She deadpans.
I sigh, supporting my face on my palm. "I am not even sure if it is really liking or a mere physical attraction towards him. I mean my love life has been dry and boring in the past years. What if this is just a fling or I am getting drawn to him because of his appearance. Like just for the sex appeal. It would kind of make sense."
"Only one way to find out." She wiggles her eyebrows at me playfully.
I scoff. "No way. Remember, we not even talking right now Val. We fought. Physically and verbally. And we have not talked about it for three weeks."
"Yeah but still."
"What if I am right? It is just for the sex appeal and it disappears in a few days if I get bored. What am I supposed to do?"
"Well, what about your new friend?- Lucas." She says in a slightly bitter tone that has me smiling to myself. "Didn't he give you any ideas?"
"Not yet and stop being jealous Val." I let out a small laugh that causes her to huff.
"I am not jealous." She defends herself, crossing her arms in front of me, sitting up properly and jutting her chin out. "I am just curious about your genius friend."
