My laptop is broken and gateway is pretty much refusing to help me at this point.
Don't use gateway products. I got a brand new laptop for Christmas for college and it started a booting loop two months later, I thought it was a virus so I did a factory reset and it worked for a day before going back, so I tried to reinstall windows completely and now it won't even boot. I've been arguing with gateway customer support for a month and they keep saying that I wasn't filling out the trade form right and until today they didn't tell me what I was doing wrong. They said my online receipt wasn't right so I sent a new one. One that said it was purchased from Walmart, said when it was ordered, said when it was paid for, said when it was picked up, said the order number, said what card was used, said the order person and pickup persons name, and had the orders barcode. There is no reason for a laptop that was brand new and used for barely a month to have a motherboard issue unless they are using reused or shitty motherboards. Just stay away from them.
