(btw I updated the last chapter, so if you haven't read that do that right before starting this one please!)

Ezra and Zeb were snarling at each other, both of them annoyed and frustrated. Sabine stood in her corner still processing her first impressions of the kid.

"We're here." Kanan said as the door whooshed open.

"On Garel, but you two can leave— oh and." Hera said, "Prepare for the next mission."

Ezra pulled Zeb away from him, like seating a fly, and Zeb reluctantly stepped away from the kid with a grunt. Sabine headed to her cabin, not even looking back to the kid, and the lasat gave one more death glare before completely disappearing. Hera tapped Ezra's shoulder to get his attention, because the teenager had been staring at the direction the rest of his crew mates had gone. Kanan sat down, arms crossed and looked at Hera with uncertainty.

"We've..." Hera started, "Decided we are going to bring you back to Lothal."

"But we need to know if--"

"I'll stay with you for the next mission." Ezra pressed, interrupting Kanan and fidgeting in his seat. "I'll stick for a while here.."

Hera gave Kanan a doubtful look, but the Jedi shrugged and turned back to Ezra.

"If it's okay with your parents."

Pain on Ezra's untreated wound started again, fear and regret filled his throat.

"They woul-- are okay with it." He responded, correcting himself.

Still not convinced Hera and Kanan discussed the matter and took it into their own hands. They let Ezra be able to explore the ship, as long as he didn't steal anything. The teenager took intertest into Kanan's dorm, slightly knowing what to expect. He walked in and rummaged through the draws, and finally stopped when he saw it. The Jedi Holocron.

The blue cube, glowing, called to Ezra, and as the tempted adolescent he is, he focused and cleared his mind to open the Jedi artifact. Eyes closed, and full concentration on the light side of the force, he felt peacefulness surrounding him, along with every single being in the galaxy.

"This is Master Obi-Wan Kenobi." Reported the holographic and younger figure of Obi-Wan, "I  regret to report that both our Jedi Order and the Republic have fallen, with the dark shadow of the Empire rising to take their place."

Ezra, now sure of himself opened his eyes almost fully and continued to listen to the old figure.

"This message is a warning and a reminder to any surviving Jedi,

Trust in the Force."
