Chapter Fourteen

"You're going to re locate me!?" I yelled at Fury as I stood up in my chair.

He kept a calm face as he watched me. "I'm sorry Miss.Carson but I have no choice. Captain Rogers said it was best that you be moved to-" I clenched my hands into fists as I cut him off.

"Steve? He requested that I be moved? Where?" I asked.

"There's a SHIELD headquarters in Maine. You're going to stay there until this case is solved. End of discussion. You leave tomorrow." And with that he walked out. 'I hope Steve knows he's gonna die today'

I stormed out of the room and down to his room. Instead of knocking I just burst in to see him jumping up from his bed at my sudden arrival.

I went up to him and attempted to shove him back. Though it did nothing.

He stayed quiet as he watched me.
"Relocation!? You told Fury you wanted to relocate me!?" I said and he sighed.

"I had no choice. You...you're not meant to be here. It's too much of a risk for the rest of us, they want you and they're not gonna stop until they have you." He said referring to Hydra.

"I can handle them. I have before." I hissed. "But ya know what, I don't even care. If you don't want me here then so be it. I'm happy to leave. I never liked you much anyways." I said looking into his eyes. I saw something...something I couldn't recognize. I shook it off and turned around, heading towards the door. Before I walked out, he grabbed my arm.

"Natalie pleas-" he started.

"NO. Don't talk to me." He said and I walked out slamming the door behind me.

The next day I packed my stuff up. As I finished up I heard a knock at my door. I opened the door expecting to see Steve but instead I saw his doppelganger.

"Johnny? What are you doing here?" I asked and he sighed as he walked in, closing the door behind him.

"I heard you're leaving...." he said looking down at the floor, slightly glancing up at me.

"Yeah...I'm getting relocated. But Johm-" I was suprised when he stepped foward, pulling me into his arms. After a moment I hugged him back, burying my head in his chest.

"It's gonna be awful without you here." He said.

"It's know. I'm...Gonna miss you guys..." I said pulling back.

"We're gonna miss you too." He said lifting up my bags. I picked up one and walked out the door with him following.

We went up to the top floor where the others were waiting. Except one person. I sighed and smiled at them weakly.

Susan smiled back and I hugged her first. "I'm gonna miss you being here..." she said and I nodded.

Next I gave Reed an awkward hug, same with Bruce. I gave Clint a hug and he was smiling at me. "We've still got that video." He said and I rolled my eyes.

Natasha suprisingly have me a small hug. Last was Tony. He smirked and pulled me in for a hug. "It's gonna suck without you here Natalie." He said.

"I don't know what ya'll are gonna do without me..." I said with a small laugh. I looked up when I heard someone clear their throat. Standing there was a SHIELD agent and outside was a Quinjet waiting for me. I sighed and took my bags from Johnny and grabbed the other ones. I said one last goodbye before getting onto the jet. I got on and set my bags down. I honestly can't believe Steve didn't say goodbye... Just thinking about it made me...I shook my head, erasing him from my thoughts as we took off.

I was gonna miss this place, I had to admit. It's gonna be sad not seeing them...But it is what it is...I was gonna just have to live with Steves stupid choice. But I guess being away from them would...Oh who am I kidding, I miss them already. I just sighed and looked out the window, waiting for us to arrive...

Hey guys!! I just wanted to say I'm going to try to make this story only 20 chapters, but I am going to make a second book. Though I still need to think of a name. But anyways, yeah. It's about to get good in these last few chapters and there is gonna be some plot twists, and a MAJOR cliffhanger for the last chapter. That was just a little warning for all my readers.
