Chapter 54: Trouble in Paradise

Josie jumped up struggling to button her jeans. She was going on with Erica and her friend tonight for a Fashion Nova party and needed to run some errands but she wasn't looking forward to it because she never cared for Erica's friend Latavion. He is a girl for sure and very catty but Erica ensured her that he's grown up.

"Ma-ma" Ricky said walking into their room. Josie and Morgan officially moved into his penthouse. And although Morgan wasn't fond of all of these changes she was starting to like her whole level of space. Josie was sad to say goodbye to her first luxury condo that she dreamed of but Ricky's penthouse was definitely a mood on her Pinterest board from 08. Josie turned around

"Hi" she smiled

"What you ready to do? He asked.

"I'm about to get my hair done and do a little shopping," she said out of breath. "Aww my baby," he said wrapping his hands around her waist. "What's wrong? He asked

"Nothing," she said. Josie knew what she signed up for when she played his fake fiance but it's official now that she's his wife. She was loving it she just noticed he's been super busy lately and she knows it won't be forever but she can't act like she just wants more time with him.

"I just miss you that's all... and then I'm not looking forward to meeting Erica's friend again. He's so messy and miserable" she said

"Aww, babe you know after today you're all mine. I promise you... and we can take a look at that new car you wanted" he said. Josie instantly cheered up. She mentioned that she wanted an Amg and that was it. Josie would still drive her Honda if she could and that's why Ricky wanted to get it for it. "Yay, do they still have the white one? She asked

"I'll see what I can do," he said. She jumped on him "That means yes"

"I ain't say all of that" he laughed holding her. She looked into his eyes. "Please be careful," she said. "I got you," he said pecking her lips. After they kissed she watched him leave out. This was twice this week that he was flying to and from Miami to New York. She just felt like it wasn't necessary but hell what did she know what was going on?

Cortez

Cortez just left lunch with Mercedes just to catch up now he was at his friend Bre's house mounting a tv to her wall. He had to keep himself busy this past month so he wouldn't explode uncontrollably and the best way to do that is to be around feminine energy.

"Tez you want something to drink," she asked

"Nah, I'm good," he said

Bre walked in braless with a tank top and booty shorts. He just noticed she barely had clothes on when she first opened the door she was fully clothed. Cortez thought that was odd, he couldn't lie Bre looked amazing and had a bomb body. The thought of sleeping with her never crossed his mind. He would always try to set Bre up with his homeboys and it would never end up working. Cortez stopped when he got a text from Mercedes

Mercedes: Thanks for lunch Tez, wishing you the best

Tez: No problem Mercedes! Take care!

"Who you texting? She asked

"Your mother" he answered. Bre laughed "Don't play with my momma like that before I stop her from making your favorite cake" she said

"You know I love Ms. Angie.. chill," he said.

"How was your day tho? He asked

"It was long so many clients and projects I can't even keep up," she said
