Josie
Today was the big day, my first fashion show. New York Fashion Week, it was finally happening I used to dreams about times like this not even believing I could have this life. I was backstage getting my makeup done. I had butterflies in my stomach, we had a few scares earlier. I thought the lights weren't working at first. I can just hear the people outside and how busy this venue is. Still can't believe Ricky and I reconnected like this, who would've thought. "You looking good baby girl," My dad said beside me. He's been my hype man /manager ever since we moved to New York. "Thanks, daddy" I smiled. "Your welcome baby," he said looking around.
"So where's your baby? He asked. "Frenchie is on his way" I smiled excitedly. He's been so busy we haven't had time together. "No, I'm talking about Ricky," he said. I shook my head "That's not my man" I said. "You know when you were telling me all of those things that he put you through. I wanted to knock his head off, but he really seems like he's in a better space" he said.
"He has been rather chill, but were cool... that's it dad" I said. God! These questions about us were going to be the death of me "You ain't fooling nobody but yourself. I see how he looks at you and I see how you try not to look at him on purpose. Your momma used to do that to me" he chuckled. l instantly felt saddened. I don't even remember how she sounds anymore still hurts that she's brainwashed still in the cult somewhere. "So you had a way with your words huh? I asked. "Hell yeah, how'd you think you got here and Morgan... and we were definitely too old to have her-
"Okay, dad please" I cringed. "I'm just saying that boy is a charmer, I see why you're intrigued. Nigga always walking around like he bout to meet the president" he said. I burst into laughter "Dad, you're killing me. Stop it" I said. "I'm gonna go out there and see what's going on," he said. Erica walked in cute and wobbling. "Hey girl, imma need you out in the next 10 minutes," she said. Her homeboy Latavion is going to be interviewing me. He has his own podcast and Instagram page with thousands of followers called No Tea No shade. She set up a few of her well-known colleagues to interview me and I was forever grateful. "Alright, babe you're all set," Diamond said handing me a mirror. I leaned into the mirror falling in love with my look. "Oh I love it, yasss" I said tucking my hair behind my ear. I handed her back the mirror "Thanks Diamond, I love it" I said
"These are for you" I turned around to see Frenchie. "Oh, hey babe" I smiled getting up to hug him. "Congratulations ma," he said. "Didn't think I'll ever see you again" I laughed. "Zel and I been working like a slave," he said. "Im glad you two are talking again," I said.
"Yeah together we make fire but today ain't about me it's about you fly girl," he said. I blushed getting butterflies in my stomach just thinking about showcasing my work.
Ricky
I sat in the car with Craig, Dreux, and Kasey trying to figure out how we had beef with those niggas in the first place. I was irritated about the whole situation. We never went to approach them that night Cortez went by himself. He notified back to me that the situation was a misunderstanding and there's no more drama between us, he sounded confident but I was still mad about it.
