Chapter 47: Paranoid

One month later

I arrived earlier than expected at Ricky's establishment. The party didn't start yet and I felt kind of useless. I literally always have something to do, and I have nothing to do. I was supposed to come with Erica, but she told me she wouldn't be here until later so now I'm just sitting here bored on my phone. "You need help with anything? Josie asked Yasmin. "Umm no not really everything is pretty much done... but thank you girl" she smiled walked off with a box of products. "Yo... Yasmin come here real quick" Ricky called. "I'm coming" she said. Irritated Josie began taking selfies to help her feel better. Shortly Ricky came over to the empty section she was in. "Baby" he called

"Yeah" she answered. "What you doing? He asked. "I don't know trying to make myself useful you see how that's working" she said. "You really want something to do? He laughed.

"I'm about to go to mall real quick... I'm bored" she said. "Why the party is about to start in an hour? He asked.

"I don't know I just nee-

"We have a slight problem" Yasmin came over interrupting our conversation for the second time. "Wassup? He asked. "The cleaners are closing in 20 minutes. Relly is up the street and I have to set up the meeting" she said. Josie wondered who the hell Relly was and what meeting this is what she was talking about when she felt like she was out of the loop. "Who's Relly and what meeting? She asked.

"Nobody" he shut her down quickly. "Um, I'll go to Rell you set up the meeting" he told her. "I mean I can get your suit" Josie insisted. "No babe, just chill out... I don't want you working" he said. Josie rolled her eyes. "Hand me your keys" she said. "What? I told you I got it-

"I'm gonna go to Rell now" Yasmin awkwardly left the scene. "It's 10 minutes now and you want to be fake overprotective come on" Josie scoffed. "I am overprotective... and you want to be my assistant so bad today what is going on? He laughed. Josie was already irritated since yesterday and that comment was sending her over edge. "Okay fine go get it yourself" she said frustrated. "I'm just playing ...please be safe" he dropped the keys in her hand. "Yeah whatever" she rolled her eyes leaving. Ricky sucked his teeth "Why you acting like that? He laughed as she left. Things have continued to be stable in their relationship the only problem was Josie's change in moods one minute she was in a great mood then suddenly she had a full-blown attitude. He's been trying to figure it out lately

Josie got in his ride pulling off. "I can't stand his ass sometimes" she scoffed. Her phone began to ring, and it was Erica. "Hey babe, where you at? She asked

"I don't think I'm coming" Erica said. Her voice was jittery, and Josie immediately became worried.

"Why? What's wrong? She asked.

"Girl I'm just overwhelmed. I can't focus right now" she broke down in tears. Josie's mouth dropped she wondered if there was something in the air because lately all the girlies including her have been overwhelmed. "Don't cry sis, I have to pick something up and I'll be over there asap" she said. "Oh-kay" her voice quivered. After Josie grabbed his suit, she dodged to Erica's apartment. Erica may get on her nerves sometimes but that's her ride or die. "Hey" Erica opened the door with mascara running down her face and her dress barely on. Josie hugged her "Oh my gosh... are you okay? What's wrong? She helped her sit down. "I was trying to get me and Zoey ready at the same time, I fucking tripped hurt my knee and I just lost it and Zo started crying it's just a fucking mess" she cried. Josie felt her frustration she was just as frustrated as Erica was. "Hi mama" she smiled picking up her god daughter.

"I got fired from my job got in bad disagreement with my manager over a pay increase and he fired me. I brought so much to that company how dare they.... I do so much more than those mediocre Becky's" She paused
