Chapter 20

Two days passed Ruhi stopped talking to anyone. She would sit in the balcony for hours and doesn't move to cook or clean. Veer tried to talk to her but after getting no response he thought of giving her some space.

Veer did his research. He asked few of the workers about ruhi's past. All he got was a name Aayan Rathore was behind everything. He asked his men to do some research on Aayan. But they told him that he has vanished. They are still trying to track him.

Veer sighed as he moved to their room. He came back from office after a hetic day all he wanted to do was hug his dear wife. But he understood she needed space.

After the incident she stopped sleeping on the bed. She would simply lay on the couch. Veer persuaded her but she told him she was comfortable there.

Ruhi has even distanced herself from Riya. The little girl came to play with her. But ruhi asked her to go away and she didn't wanted to play. Veer handled the matter saying she is injured and will play later.

He entered their room. And again found her sitting in the balcony head tucked in her knees. He looked at her for a while then moved to freshen up. Changing his clothes he went towards her.
Placing his hand on her head he patted her head a little. To which she flinched.
His knuckles turned white and his jaw was clenched. Fuck she was scared.

She looked up at him her eyes were red and teary.
He gently smiled at her.

"Did you eat rooh?" He asked her softly. She nodded her head and raised her eyebrow questioning him back.

"Yes i did" he replied. And took a seat next to her maintaining a little distance.

"Did the nurse come in time" he questioned. And again got a nod.

He kept looking at her for a while. After sometimes he grabbed her hand.

"You know you can tell me everything, and i would never judge you rooh. I will always embrace you with open arms no matter what" he said drawing circles with his thumb on her hands.

She nodded her head again.

"Would you like to go for a walk" he questioned.

"Ji" he heard a soft whisper. His heart raced in his chest it's Been a while since he heard her.

"Let's go" his hands never left her. As they both strolled down to the garden.

Removing their slippers they walked into the grass feeling them beneath their feets. He took her towards the pond. It had swans in it. A lots of butterflies were flying there. Ruhi never discovered this part of the garden. She looked at everything in astonishment. Veer smiled at her reaction.

As soon they walked there a few rabits came hopping towards them. Veer picked one of them. And it purred happily. Ruhi looked at him with her wide doe eyes.

"Do you want to hold it" he asked her.

"Yes" she replied her eyes shone in happiness. As Veer handed her the little creature.

"Hold it like this" he told her. She took it carefully.

"It's so beautiful" she mumbled in awe. Veer smiled at her.

"Not more than you" he told her. She looked up at him. He couldn't help but to bend down and steal a few forehead kisses. She smiled a little.

They both sat down.
"This is my spot. Whenever i feel low i come here. Now this is our spot. You can come here anytime" he said.

"Thank you" she whispered keeping her eyes on the rabbit as the other one came too.

"Anything for you baby" he told her passing her a soft smile.

They both sat there in peaceful silence only the bird chirping and swans voice could be heard.

After a while they got up and went inside. Everything was peaceful. Ruhi was shivering a little from cold. Veer noticed it and immediately pulled her in his embrace. She didn't flinched this time nor she protested which made him smile.

"Would you like to have dinner downstairs rooh" he asked her. She looked at him for a while before nodding her head.

Riya was happy seeing ruhu back. But seeing the bandages she became upset again.

All of them sat peacefully. Naisha asked ruhi about her health. Her father in law asked veer to take good care of her.
After finishing their food they went back to their rooms.

"Good night baby" he wished her kissing her forehead.

"Good night" she replied and went towards the couch.

Few more days passed. It became their routine to spend some time near the pond. Veer would talk mostly and ruhi listened to him.

Veer came back home. He was happy that ruhi stepped out of the room. She was getting back slowly. She was talking to some maids.
Placing his bag on the table. He went towards the bathroom to take a shower. But the scenes infront of him shocked him to core.

"RUHI RAJPUT. COME HERE THIS INSTANT" he yelled from top of his lungs. Rage took over him.

Ruhi who was talking with the maid got startled. Hearing his voice. Passing them a nervous smile she went towards their room.

"Kya hua veer" she asked gently entering the room.

"WHOSE FUCKING BLOOD IS THIS RUHI"

here's an update.

You guys genuinely tell me. Is the chapter not worthy to even get 90 votes? Should I do some changes or should I stop writing? I sometimes feel my story doesn't worth it. It's been days i posted the last chapter. 250+ people viewed it and only 60 of them voted.

So this is my Genuine question..is the chapter not worthy? Or is there any problem.

Well i have nothing to say.. because of others the people who vote suffers. Seeing the lack of votes..i post the chapter even when the target is not completed. And i don't think it will. So let's leave.
