I could still feel that akward old man staring at me as we arrived at the town, I had never been more happy to hide in my room. The only thing keeping me from doing so was that my ranger Said it would be rude, and we needed to not offend the man who would be helping us.
I opened my peep hole and watched as we went from stall to stall browsing wears we might need. After we had gotten all the supplies from them I seen the blacksmith approaching. My ranger had given him a blade and a note when we had passed by his forge. He and my ranger made an exchange then my door oppened slightly, a little sword dropped in. I picked it up, it felt as though it was meant for my hand. Though it wouldn't do much damage, unless....
I lay it on the bed and shed a bit of the contaminated dust from it, I sprinkled it on both sides of the blade, but infused with it. Contaminated fairy dust was like a poisonous snake bite, minutes After it entering your body you would be unable to move for at least an hour. I had no desire to kill, so I did not put enough to do so, just disable.
I lifted the blade, some of the dust seems to have not been contaminated because it had a faint glow to it now. I smiled at that, now I could also heal poisons with it depending on my mood.

I smiled to myself, I knew the little one would love the gift, I could imagine her swinging it in the little room now, I had the Smith put a little handle made whitewood on it, it should fit in her hand perfectly, along with boosting her power a bit. I also had the blade shortened so it was not as though she held a greatsword, it was closer to a longsword in her hands I imagine.
"Are you ready yet?" The mage sounded very impatient, but it was about to be dark, we would not be able to find anything then.
"We're ready but it will have to wait until morning. We will stay in the tavern for tonight." I looked to the man, he didn't seem happy but also didn't argue.
" Ok but in the morning we need to go."
"I agree, I'm sure the little one does too." We walked down the street towards the tavern, I avoided the pub for the little ones sake, I would not put her throught that twice in one week. Though the tavern may not be much better.

I was still swinging the sword when it suddenly got unbearably loud, my ears felt as though they might burst, the loud screeching noise would make my ears bleed soon. I dropped the sword and covered my ears, moving to my peep hole, there were a lot of people here. some sat while others stood twirling and swaying, it was some instrament making the noise, a violin, it had been tuned too tight so the normally sweet sound threatened to deafening me. I shut the peep hole, it dulled the sound but not enough. I put my head under my pillow, I could still hear it but it was more bearable now.
After what seemed a lifetime, it finally fell from earshot. I lifted my head as the latch opened. "You almost drove me to deafness ranger! Whatre you thinking cominh to a pub and not warning me?!"
"I am sorry little one. This is a tavern I thought it to be quieter."
I fell against my bed, it was not his fault the violin is out of tune. "Before we go back down can you tune the violin?"
"Of course." I climbed out onto his shoulder, he held our his hand so I sat in it, he moved me to the table then dug back in my room grabbing the sword.
"careful, I infused it with fairy dust."
He adjusted his grip the held it out to me, I took it. Then looked around, the weird old man was here as well, still staring. I seen a candle, so I moved to it, one slice and it fell in half, I did this over and over until the sword became comfortable. "is there a sheathed for it?"
"no, the blacksmith wouldn't do somthing so small."
"then can you get me some leather to make one." I leaned against the Hand he had on the table it was comfortable as well. If only he were my size. Then I could get the full effect of his embrace.
