Draco POV

"...we'll have to blast our way through," I tell Hermione from across the boundary created by debris before a scream and cold chuckle ring through the room simultaneously.

"I'm afraid that will not be happening, Draco," Lucius tells me once I turn around. I see he's wrapped his arm around my fiancé's neck and it takes all of my willpower not to fire off a barrage of spells at the monster. "Now, listen and listen closely. You and your friends," he turned up his nose at us, "will surrender your wands to us or else your precious love will not spend a second longer on this earth."

I make eye contact with Ginny and see the faintest of nods from her. I look up then down her body and find that her arms are completely free, an oversight on Lucius' part. Almost imperceptibly, I return her look and make a show of surrendering my wand. "Alright, alright," I raise my wand above my head and keep my other arm visible to him before giving Gin the signal to strike.

My fiancé swings back her arm and delivers a wicked elbow into the bastard's stomach while I take the chance to send a stunner at him. He somehow recovers and throws up a shield while the rest of his men begin to duel us.

Before long, spells are flying everywhere and I notice we're starting to be outnumbered while Weasel is the first to drop to a stunner. I hurriedly throw up a shield to protect Ginny before sliding towards Lyla and conjuring a block of wood to deflect the blood boiling curse sent her way. Together, we manage to take down three of Lucius' men but it's not enough as McGonagall and Shacklebolt begin to get overwhelmed by the onslaught of attacks from my father and the rest of the men.

Lyla and I hurry over to them before we see Neville and Luna being rocked by an explosion. I try to shield them but two stunners hit them in the chest and take them out of the fight. It's just me, Lyla, McGonagall, and Shacklebolt versus Lucius and about twelve other madmen.

"Last chance, surrender your wands and don't make this any more difficult than it has to be," he tells me.

"Over my dead body," I bite back at him and look at my team out of the corner of my eye. They're all as prepared for a fight as I am.

"That can be arranged," Lucius intones smugly.

We remain locked in our stand off before I notice the sound of creaking coming from right under my feet. I drop my gaze to notice the panel I'm standing on is precariously close to buckling. In an instant, the floor buckles and I'm forced to jump forward only to be met by my father's stunner.

Harry POV

"And here I thought you wanted to see me, Mister Potter."

I turn around as gingerly as I can with Hermione supporting me to meet the black eyes of the bastard, Dolohov. He's grinning sinisterly at us and I know he knows I'm in bad shape as it is. I ready myself for a fight regardless.

"How wonderful it is that the Golden Duo has reunited, and for me no less."

I see him twirling his wand and I know he intends for only one of us to make it out of this alive. I look towards Hermione who is glaring at the fucker hatefully and I mentally apologize to her for what I'm about to do. The only person who's getting out of this in one piece is her. I know Dolohov is more than willing to duel us but with the state I'm in, Hermione would be doing the heavy lifting. I can't let that happen.

"You got what you wanted, Dolohov. You have me, let's finish this," I ignore the dumbfounded look Hermione is giving to me, "just you and me."

Under his cold sneer and laugh, I can tell he's considering my offer. I need to play into his ego and make him want to face me one on one. Hermione is about to say something but I speak up, "we both know you want to be the one man that can say he beat me one on one. You want to face me just as much as I want to face you."
