Harry POV

"I could have used Veritaserum, I could have used an unforgivable, I could have done ANYTHING else to make you talk, Gordon," I smugly tell the whimpering Death Eater at my feet. The poor guy was missing a couple of teeth and his cheek had swollen to the size of a golf ball.

"Look, Potter. I just find the girls, I don't do anything else," Caldwell groaned to me. I let out a cold derisive chortle in response.

"I could have taken you anywhere Caldwell. I could have taken you to Azkaban, I could have taken you to the ministry, I brought you here," I storm over to the bastard and lift him off his feet by the scruff of his neck, "do you really think I'd waste my time on someone who doesn't know or do anything?"

Caldwell is desperately trying to suck in air while I choke the life out of him and I make to loosen my grip only to watch as he drops off to unconsciousness. "Damn."

I drop the bastard to the ground unceremoniously and retrieve my wand from its holster. "Enervate," I intone while pointing it to him. He jumps awake right away.

"Good of you to rejoin me, Gordon," I flippantly mutter, surprising myself with how deranged I sound. "I spoke with your man Rudy, you remember him right?" I take the collar of Caldwell's robes and pull him to meet my face. "He was more than amenable to my requests."

"Listen, Potter. He only writes to me to find the girls and then I send an alert through my wand to him and he comes to do whatever he does," Caldwell fearfully tells me, purposefully avoiding telling me that Dolohov murders the girls. It's a big mistake.

In quick succession, I deliver a knee to the man's stomach and follow it up with a wicked uppercut once he crumbles over. "HE MURDERS THOSE GIRLS, THOSE INNOCENT LITTLE GIRLS," I grit out.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry. He murders them, you're right," the former Death Eater acquiesces. I step closer to him, watching as he flinches, and kneel to meet his eyes.

"Listen, Gordon. You're going to tell me everything he tells you. You're going to tell me how he picks these girls and then, I'm going to let you go to prison easily, hmm?"

The man fearfully nods affirmingly and I clap his shoulder while he flinches at the motion. "Good man," I praise him. "Now start from the beginning," I order him with a sickly sweet smile on my face. He looks even more fearful now. That's good.

"Dolohov wants to cull the muggleborn population but not in the way you think. He knows there's not a lot of us left since you came on the scene as an Auror," Caldwell swallows thickly, "so he wants to send a message by taking out as much of them as he can while making it as publicized as possible."

"I know this," I respond with a little bit of sarcasm. I did ask the fucker to start from the beginning though, so I can't be too mad at him. I gesture for him to continue.

"Every now and then, we get a letter from him to scout Diagon for any potential targets. For every single day in the week, there's at least one of us scouring the alley looking for a very specific type of girl."

I nod at the bastard and feel instantly pleased that I'm finally getting somewhere. He must have noticed because he's offered me a small look of gratitude and relief. I return it only momentarily before wordlessly telling him to continue.

"The girls we're assigned to find have to meet certain requirements," he looks at me in horror once more and I can tell that I'm not going to like what next comes out of his mouth, "they're supposed to have brown hair, brown eyes, and their first and last initial must be H and G respectively."

I cock my head in confusion for a moment because of the odd specifications that Dolohov has laid out to his men and Caldwell waits for me to realize it. It takes me a moment to wonder why they want such a specific type of girl before it hits me. Brown eyes, brown hair, and H.G as their initials. That's a perfect ringer for Hermione.
