Y/N AND HU-TAO HAD A ROUGH MORNING. They had both overslept, Y/n too busy having one of the best dreams of her life and Hu-Tao was hungover from drinking too much the night before. To top it off, Hu-Tao's alarm clock had failed them, so they didn't even have enough time to get ready properly. When Y/n had finally woken up and checked her phone, she had realized they only had 15 minutes left to get dressed and make it to school.

She quickly took her shower and got dressed, while Hu-Tao stumbled about in a daze, trying to put on her clothes, all the while being constantly reminded by Y/n that they were running out of time.

"Come on, Hu-Tao, hurry up! We can't be late again!" Y/n exclaimed, trying to rush Hu-Tao.

"I'm trying, I'm trying," Hu-Tao mumbled. "Give me a minute to get my head together. I don't think I slept at all last night."

As they made their way outside, Y/n noticed that Ganyu's car was already packed and ready to go. "Ganyu's car is here already. We need to hurry if we're going to catch it," Y/n urged.

About 10 minutes passed by, and Hu-Tao finally told Y/n that she wouldn't be able to ride with them because there wasn't enough space in Ganyu's car. She suggested that Y/n go ahead and carpool with Ganyu, while she'd walk to school since it was only 2 minutes away.

Y/n was in a hurry and didn't take the time to fully consider the impact of Hu-Tao not being with her. She agreed to leave Hu-Tao behind and quickly made her way to Ganyu's car, eager to get to school on time.

As Y/n had walked down the hallway, she had seen that Hu-tao had also arrived for their computer sciences lecture. They smiled and greeted each other before making their way to the classroom. As they took their seats, they began chatting about the party they went to the previous night.

"Girl, did you see that guy Scaramouche at the party last night? He was fine as hell," y/n said to Hu-tao with a grin on their face.

"I didn't see him, but you sound pretty smitten with him," Hu-tao teased back.

Y/n laughed as they recalled their conversation with Scaramouche from the party. The conversation soon ended as the teacher walked in and began the lecture.

As the teacher was about to start, Scaramouche casually opened the door to the classroom and walked in. The teacher scolded him for being late, but as soon as she realized that he was a new student, she decided to let him off the hook for now.

"Late on the first day? Not a great start for you," Hu-tao said snarkily, eyeing Scaramouche.

Scaramouche simply shrugged and took a seat next to y/n, glaring at her. Even tho he was glaring at her, Y/n blushed at the attention and tried to focus on the lecture, but couldn't help stealing glances at Scaramouche every now and then.

As the class finally seemed to end an eternity later, and the bell rang, Y/n started to pack up their things, trying to time it perfectly so they would be leaving at the same time as Scaramouche. Eventually, they both started to pack their things, and as Scaramouche began getting his bag, a hesitant Y/n walked up to him.

"Hey, Scaramouche, how's it going? Did you enjoy the party last night?" Y/n asked, mustering up the courage to finally speak to him.

Scaramouche looked up, seemingly confused by Y/n's asking and responded curtly, "huh?"

Y/n felt their heart sink, not quite sure how to take Scaramouche's reply. "The party last night? We talked there, remember?" they asked, hoping to trigger his memory.

Scaramouche just continued to glare at Y/n with his piercing purple eyes. "I don't know what you're talking about. I don't remember you or anything that happened at the party. And if we hooked up, forget it. It meant nothing." he said coldly before grabbing his bag and storming out of the classroom.

Y/n was left standing there, trying to process what had just happened. They felt humiliated and foolish for thinking Scaramouche had remembered their interaction at the party. As they watched him leave, Y/n couldn't help but feel angry and frustrated that they had made such a fool of themselves.
