My heart rate picks up as the phone on the other line goes silent. "Gracie... I need you." Easton.
"Oh my gosh." My hand covers my mouth. He sounded like he was in trouble. Hurt maybe. I stumble to grab my keys and head down the lobby. Thankfully, Daisy is asleep and won't know I'm gone.
The whole drive there all I can think about is how bad it could be. What it could be. I don't know much about Eastons personal life and I honestly don't know if I should.
All I can think is, why did he call me? He has a brother no? And what about his friends that hosted the party we went to?
Before I know it, I'm at his building and rushing inside of the fancy apartment complex. A man who is dressed in a suit and wears black glasses stands at the front door and stops me as I try to walk in.
"Woah lady, you can't just walk in here. Who Are you here to see?"
My hands play with each other. "Easton- Easton Wells."
The man lets out a scoff. "Look, fans aren't allowed in the building so I advise you to leave now."
My face heats up, not from being flustered, but from anger. "I'll have you know I am not a fan, if you knew anything about him or me you would know that we work together. I'm Gracie Joyce and I'm his co-star, see?" I hold my phone to his face to show him I have his contact information.
The man examines the phone for a while then moves aside before I'm rushing into the building. I walk past the lady by the reception desk. "Excuse me? I need Easton Wells' room number."
The man lifts his brow as if he finds me funny, my face says anything but that. "He's in the penthouse-" I don't let the man finish or protest before making my way towards the elevators. I should have taken the stairs, this is taking forever.
I get to one of the top floors and knock on a couple doors, not getting many responses and if I do, they are from angry people who don't want to be bothered right now.
When I get to the end of the hallway, I knock on the last door. When I get no answer I'm about to turn away when the door pushes open. Creepy.
I walk inside cautiously, staying near the door in case I need to run, when I see his body, laying on the floor next to the couch.
"Oh my gosh!" I rushed to him. His eyes are closed so my hand goes to his neck to find a pulse. Oh thank God.
I see dry blood all over his face, the rest of his body seems unharmed but I can't investigate further until he is awake.
I sit down and shake him lightly, praying that he is just passed out and I don't need to take him to a doctor. I wouldn't even know where to find one here. This neighborhood is huge and it's hard to find everything.
"East!" I shake him gently, whisper yelling in his ear. It takes me a few more times for him to open his eyes. My heart shatters when I see pain flicker in them.
