Once the pack was all together, Waverly and the others wandered back to the field where they had left Matthew and William's bodies.

Even though William's body seemed to disappear once Hadley showed up, Waverly was excited to see Matthew's decaying corpse lying against the soggy, jagged earth one more time.

"Okay," Miss Lykensen began, leading them through the trees. "Waverly and Willa will devise a course of action against the hunters."

Waverly paused, focusing on the retired alpha. "What are you talking about?"

Miss Lykensen turned to her and smiled...again. "I think it would be beneficial if you two decided on something together—"

"Um, no." Waverly quickly interrupted. "This isn't time for bonding, we need to find the rest of the hunters and finally put an end to this!"

Wyatt slid out from behind his mother and nodded. "She's right...this has gone on way too long."

Miss Lykensen's expression seemed to falter. She looked like she was fighting her own war inside of her mind.

"You're both right." She agreed. "But I still believe that it would be a good idea to work together."

Willa made a strange choking-noise from behind Waverly.

"Who are you right now? Since when do werewolves care about getting along?" The alpha rambled on.

"We don't have time for this!" Waverly roared. "Let's just make groups and find the rest of the humans."

Everyone seemed to agree.

Wyatt was the first to push through the damaged vegetation and make his way onto the field.

Honestly, most of the forest was a "field" now because of the damage Waverly's powers had done.

For some reason, no one had really commented on that. Waverly knew that they all feared her power, but she figured at least Miss Lykensen would say something. She basically destroyed their home.

"Yup," He muttered. "Right where we left him."

Waverly rushed into the clearing. She felt a content feeling flood through her as soon as her eyes landed on Matthew's body.

He was lying there painted with blood and bluer than the sky.

"That's not fun to look at." Willow rambled on behind her.

Waverly couldn't disagree more. She loved the sight. The man responsible for all of her troubles over the years was finally gone, dead. He was finally dead.

"Yeah," Miss Lykensen agreed. "Maybe we should cover that up—"

"No." Waverly blurted out, grabbing everyone's attention fast. "Uh, no. Don't cover it up...I'll take care of it after we find the rest of the hunters. We don't have time to do anything extra."

"No need for that!" A familiar voice called out from behind them.

Wyatt huffed out a sigh beside her as everyone seemed to spin around all at once.

The shapeshifter felt a frown spread across her face as a group of zombies stumbled across the field.

Zed was, of course, in front. And Addison was next to him, still untouched.

"How are you both still alive?" Waverly grumbled.

Zed ignored her comment and held up a small metal pole with some kind of ripped up white cloth tied to it. It looked like a mangled t-shirt.
